Jones, of course, killed no one. Suicide bombers kill as many people as they can for Allah. But Joe Klein is by no means alone in assuming that Muslims cannot control themselves and respond to insult with anything but threats and murder, and thus cannot be held responsible for their own actions. He thus reveals again the multicultural Left's bigotry and ethnocentrism. Burning a copy of the Koran is morally equivalent to flying a plane into the World Trade Center and equally eternally damnable.
That's essentially the fatwa of Time magazine's Joe Klein in an April 1 blog post at the magazine's Swampland blog.
Klein was condemning Florida pastor Terry Jones's "trial" and subsequent burning of a Koran which allegedly have sparked a murderous rampage against UN workers in Afghanistan last week:
[T]here should be no confusion about this: Jones's act was murderous as any suicide bomber's. If there is a hell, he's just guaranteed himself an afterlifetime membership.
They don't care if we kill their people in war. So I guess the ultimate targets would be Quar'an printing facilities and any place where they are stored LOL
In a civilized culture and ethos where souls have more value than books, a faction living therein that by definition refuses the terms, must be shunned. Capitalism could do a pretty nice job of it, if it was allowed to function freely and discriminate against Muslims as easily as it can descriminate now in favor of them.
Islam in America should be shunned such that those who want to push and force it into our society, are compelled to move out of the U.S.A. and back to Islamic countries. Deny them access to the 21st century until they do it on OUR terms. Capitalism can really help because Islam shackles itself such that it chronically fails as a productive culture, rendering it weak. People are free to be Muslims, on their own time and in their own nations. In the USA, Islam "sucks hind tit," as they say. That's where it would be now if regulation didn't prohibit people from discriminating against, and rejecting Islam in their communities. It would make Muslims realize that in their own best interest, better to just shut up about Islam and go on about American freedom and prosperity.
There is nothing more civil than discrimination in peaceful venues, whether it's burning paper or refusing to rent apartments to families where the women are dressed in full body covering, or wait on them in stores, or anything else. Let them live somewhere else. As in, go home or become one of us.
We need freedom, people. That includes freedom to discriminate in peace.
I am discussing this with a soldier on FB who essentially agrees with Klein. Says that it is the pastors fault these people died because sharia law forces muzzies to kill. I kid you not! This is what the American government is teaching our soldiers.

He calls those arguments straw men. He is focused on the fact that the pastor is responsible for the deaths. Not the killers. Becasue they were provoked.

From Barnhart’s oration, we learn that Senator Graham’s position is that during times of war (he had the unbelievably audacity to cite World War II to bolster his argument) there must be limits on things that Americans can or should say that might encourage and embolden the enemy. I believe that post is referring to Ann Barnhardt’s identifying Graham and those with a similar mindset as jackasses.
