As if the situation in Wisconsin wasn't tense enough, it appears that one county in particular is going to a new extreme. This comes after word that there may have been voter fraud in the nonpartisan State Supreme Court election yesterday between incumbent David Prosser and JoAnne Kloppenburg.
For some reason one of the counties in the state is destroying ballots that 'were not counted' yesterday. Apparently this is a very bizarre and egregious move.
There is now a call for an injunction to preserve the 'discarded' ballots:
I have filed a Wisconsin Open records request with the City of Mequon demanding any ballot submitted but not cast in yesterday's election, including any remnant of a shredded ballot. We have received reports Mequon poll workers destroyed submitted ballots before poll closing time, demanding a driver’s license number from the absentee voter. This request is unusual and the destruction of ballots is of grave concern, given the closeness of the state Supreme Court election. I will consider seeking an injuction to back up my request if Mequon officials are not copperative [sic]. Mark Belling, April 6, 2011

I would think that the governor has the power to declare a state of emergency, based on this report, and order the state police out to seize and seal all ballot machines.
They will do anything to retain power...and if they continue with these leftist/marxistic tactics, one day it will lead to a very bad place for them because ultimately, patriotic Americans are going to stand and do whatever is necessary to retain our Constitutional Republic from being destroyed by such enemies...foreign or domestic.
...and the libs see the hand writing on the wall (after the Tea Parties rose up and slaughtered them at the voting booth in 2010). So they are resorting to the type of tactics described above (of which they almost always have been guilty) more and more to try and preserve or out and out take whatever hold on power they can.
The dems always do this and get away with it. Sounds like Washington state, MN, IL and other liberal hotbeds.

On a side note, why has the WI Republican legislature passed a voter ID law?
I feel sorry for the our military fighting and dying for the right to vote in this country. I am retired military and never ever thought it would be this bad. This is a slap down to every soldier that fought for a fair and decent election process.
They should declare that the election was tampered with, and have a second vote. Fraud like this can not stand.
So far, their history has been dismal. There's not one - not one - liberal policy that's worked. Things have turned out twice as bad as before they "fixed" them.
Name one - just one - progressive policy that's been successful (other than manufacturing a crises).
No, we were co-opted by Madison liberals. Almost all of the rest of the state was in support of Justice Prosser.
But they voted the wrong way, their ballots should be destroyed. That’s how Castro wins with 101% of the vote.

I just checked. Mequon is in Ozaukee Co. which went 72% for Prosser.
Kloppenburg was the shue in as far as Mark was concerned. He wanted Prosser to win, but because of how few local issues were on the ballot in various districts outside of Madison and Milwaukee, he believed Prosser had little chance.
Surprise was in the AM Prosser was ahead by nearly 600 votes.
Prosser, without Dane county - where Madison is, won the election 53-47.
Around 4PM Mark called into his show to break the story:
A college student wished to vote absentee, he did so and they accepted his vote. His father had vouched for him. Several days after the kid cast his vote the father was notified the kid had to provide his Driver's License Number but was given no time frame to do so.
The father figured he's just go down to the precinct today and supply the number. But when he did, he learned the kid's ballot had been shredded days or weeks prior.
Mark noted that asking for a absentee's driver's license number after a ballot has been cast and accepted is not only irregular, but unheard of.
Were there others? Don't know. We'll see in the coming days.
The budget repair bill will likely now be folded into the actual budget bill, giving the Dems the choice of placing a stay on the entire Wisconsin Budget, or allowing it to pass.
If they take the first option, Wisconsin will, indeed, become ungovernable.
And by the way, guns will be banned and hunting ended with Kloppenburg providing the fourth vote on the now liberal controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Oh and by the way, the Judge in charge of the recount was Kloppenburg's mentor...
Does anyone know if the clerk in Mequon is a democrat?
I would say that the Clerk is a Democrat and the votes destroyed were Republican.

it’s up to the state AG, not Federal. And in some states the election commission or whatever has to be involved, too.
Given the results of last November I’m afraid this is the future of elections in America.
