Go to the website 'TV by the Numbers'...there is a cable news category, and you can research numbers until the cows come home. Beck has been running even with Hannity and higher than Greta for ages. ALL numbers are "down" because you are comparing an election year (when people are paying attention) to an 'off-year' (when people are NOT paying attention).

"Prove it with a chart". Please.

Having a DirecTV box connected to a phone line has never
been a requirement. I have one of my DirecTV DVR's that I
bought in 2001 that has only been connected to the phone
line initially when I got it. It still works just fine
without the phone line connected. In fact it works better
than one of the newer boxes I have.

As far as Beck going on to something new have any of you
ever noticed how Glenn lusts and drools over BOR's time
slot?

WOR dropped Beck's radio program earlier this year, not because of ratings, but because advertisers are afraid of any controversy. Come on! Michael Savage is on WOR. LOL!

That quote comes from a radio host at WOR...that is HIS opinion, not mine. Of course; since he actually WORKS at WOR; I would have to consider him a credible source...the 'truth', if you will.

Glenn used very interesting words. He said "I am transitioning off of this show but I am not leaving FOX." I think we need to think about this. His words mean something. He is taking a big-wig Fox executive with him and is going to produce things for both on-air and online Fox media. He's NOT leaving. He's transitioning. That means something, doesn't it?

I have a feeling the celebrations among the communist left and their enablers (’Beck bashers’) here at FR will be short-lived...we’ll see.

I agree with you. Glenn may be much more effective with big exposure specials instead of drip-drip-drip daily (and kinda repetetive) shows.

His message is extremely important and a LOT of people know it. And he has the ratings to justify staying in the game.

Now, he may need a different venue to make it more profitable because the daily show advertisers *were* intimidated into dropping him in large numbers. But there are other ways to derive revenues than serial advertising. Both Fox and Beck know how to make money, so they are in great shape.

I think they will do well, and in the near future, too. At least I hope so. I want to learn much, much more from this man.

“you’re a great American!”

btw, I can’t stand him either, he comes off as almost as greasy a snake oil salesman as Huckabee.

“If any host should be disappeared it is Hannity.”

Hannity recites the same talking points night in and night out and adds an utterly annoying “Now” at the beginning of every sentence. Seriously, why not just say “Ummm?” It has exactly the same effect on me!

I’m tired of he and Hewitt bashing the Republicans for doing the best they can when they only control the House. If they beat up on Harry Reid half as much as they did Boehner, they might get that jackass to move off the dime!

Does anybody really think we’ll be better off with another 4 years of Pelosi, Reid and Obama? Because that’s what we’ll get in 2012 if people on our side don’t chill out and let the Republicans do what they can now.

So as long as FNC isn’t as far left as MSNBC and CNN then we should support them?

Ugh.

Thankfully, there are many alternate sources of information now and I don’t need the America hating point of view that is spewed by the leftists.

First of all, there is NOTHING humble about your opinion. Second, there is a channel button on your remote, so it's hard to understand: who are the thugs holding you hostage and forcing you to watch Mr. Beck's program everyday?? It must be terrible to have to suffer that kind of torture endlessly. Ask them if you can catch a few hours of Ed Shultz or Lawrence O'Donnell,...that should pep you up!

It never fails to amaze me that 'so-called' Conservatives as yourself continually denigrate and criticize people on the right. The right 'eats its own' and the left likes to sit back and watch us destroy ourselves.

Vermont is a beautiful state. Unfortunately, it is now populated by leftists of all stripes. So I guess it shouldn't surprise me that you're critical of Beck. If you don't like him, don't watch. It's actually that simple.

“I think it is really more like, “Do we have the TIME?””

Understand, but if we have the will, we will find the time...it’s not too much of an effort, particularly with E-Mails these days.

Simple notes to businesses saying that we like Glen Beck and hope you won’t do something stupid like pulling your ads. It’s not too much from each of us, but it would have a huge effect in the end.

I’m glad Beck is off- i stopped listening to him years ago.
If you don't listen to Beck, why do you care if he's on or off?

I’m talking about more general stuff. Like matching the left’s Madison riot, er, demonstrations.

Try getting a bunch of conservatives into the street like that in a state capital.

After what happened to Prosser this week, I would hope our side would raise hell in WI. But that’s not likely to happen.

I hope that on Tax Day the Tea Party sets some records.

Our big one in FL should be in downtown Orlando. We need to let the snakes in DC know we are not playing games about spending and taxes!

Yes and no. For doing stunts that risk arrest...forget it. We have jobs on the line - for them arrests get professorships. For more peaceful, large, protests, we do have the Tea Party, but we our leaders to pull us out. Bring Sarah or Rush to Madison, and you’ll see a whole lot of conservative protesters.

I believe that Beck has found his metier in the combat of ideas where he represents a Conservative viewpoint in the face of a progressive juggernaut. His sense of history is good. His presentations are good, and they seem complicated only to the untutored or stale mind.

I take him at his word. He has indicated that a three hour radio program and an hour television program, plus health issues, added to the schedule he sets for himself, was a killing process. On the other hand, knowing how Roger Ailes works, he is likely to form a production company with Beck to produce “specials” that will continue to bring his fans to FOX. Finally, knowing Beck, he is probably in discussion with some cable outlet to produce a weekly show that will air weekly.

Frankly, I hope he does not go away. In a nation that has been badly dumbed-down, a voice that tries to educate the people is badly needed.
