I’m looking forward to hearing more from this group. FMU. Former Muslims United. All-riiight. Loved the way those pecker-faces postured around, too. Didn’t know how to deal with it.

____huge megachurch, where you never get to know anyone.’

Many megachurches (most?) know the pitfalls inherent in large numbers/membership.
That is why they stress getting into ‘small groups.’

These groups address many subjects.
From Bible Studies to Family-related subjects.
Then there’s participation in teaching Sunday School,
singing in the choir,
Men’s groups, Women’s groups, Youth Groups, etc.
Megachurch choirs are glorious to listen to.
Join a Praise and Worship Team that leads at services, singing or playing in the band.
Yearly church picnics.
Church camping - bring friends.
Volunteering in the Food Pantry at the church.
Your church doesn’t have one? - start one!
Volunteer in Church Library.
Work in Book & Gift Store. Megachurches have wonderful ones.
Learn and man the lighting and sound systems.
Financial Seminars.
Holiday Musicals.
Large churches draw talented leaders/people.
Greet at the door, every 4th Sunday . . .

Pretty soon you’ll know 99 people!

(Ask a favor of everyone: please wear appropriate clothing to church. Love to have Sunday different than other days, and yearn to know people care by treating their surroundings (including people) with some dignity. Shorts and flip-flops are not exactly respectful. The wearer doesn’t see themselves - but MY eyes - owwwwww. Hairy legs and gnarly exposed feet - yiiiii!
Money problems? Our daughter is at the second-hand store every month, and buys fantastic “cast-offs’ for herself and young daughters. They are in Sunday School every week.
Ever hear Dennis Prager talk about appropriate clothing for the occasion??!
I know, I know, the pastors themselves sometimes look unkempt - - how about it, bro???!
And could we get you to call us something other than ‘YOU GUYS’ all the time???? We really don’t like it. And the kids are listening - - - you are setting an example.
The whole country says it and it’s gotta stop)!!!

Please bring manners, parishiners - rubbing each other like you wish you were still in bed is so distracting while I’m trying to see the pastor when he’s talking, but it’s ~smoldering~ 2 rows ahead. Stifle it!
And save the truly innocent neck-rub for later. Perception - - - and distraction for rows and rows behind you.
(Ever think about sitting in the last row because you don’t even want to think about distracting others)??!

Also, brush hair at home or church bathroom, - no throwing long tresses around while seated in front of me - snowing dandruff and loose hair - - -
I know, most people don’t even know they are doing un-mannerly stuff . . . it’s all about me, me, me!

What?? You say manners are rarely being taught these days? Oh, my.. . It’s gonna get more rough ‘out there,’ /sigh . . .

(Disclaimer: of course I’m not perfect, silly - - )

L e c t u r e
o v e r . . .

Anyway, buffyt, sub-consciously you may think you’re ‘supposed to know’ 3 or 4 thousand, - no no no - give it up!
You’re forgiven! : )

Try that church closer to home - gas is expensive!

"You're supposed to hate Jews, you're supposed to hate America, you're supposed to hate Western culture," said Darwish, who grew up and was educated in Egypt and came to the United States in 1978.

It's interesting to note that she belongs to a group self-identified as "Former Muslims'. It seems to me that she realizes "good" and "Muslim" mix like oil and water.

if a Muslim were to accept an American way of life, they cannot be a "good" Muslim by the cult's definition.

Right.

moderate Muslim

This is the Great Lie that many would have us swallow.

There is no such thing.

I'm betting you don't see this story in too many other newspapers ...

Good idea for an on-going thread. Liberal MSM bias showcased by important stories they DON'T cover.
