Former Republican Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty told CNN’s Piers Morgan Tuesday he’s in the race.

“I’m running for president,” Pawlenty said in an interview set to air Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on “Piers Morgan Tonight.” “I’m not putting my hat in the ring rhetorically or ultimately for vice president. I’m focused on running for president.”

aside from his epic commercials, pawlenty seems pretty timid as far as criticizing obama.

whoever trashes obama the most gets my vote.

I'll take him over Mitt.

Woweee!!! The Gov of MN (al franken presiding) is gonna run for President.

I'm given to understand that when asked his impression of the stain, Paw-lenty said, "Ooooo...he's such a big meany!"

Thems fightin' words!

Ditto. I'm strongly opposed to a Trump candidacy, but he's the only one showing any b@llz at the moment.

Not my first choice, but I’ll certainly take him over Obama.

I'd take - in no particular order - a) a garden slug, b) a 10 day old dead Asian carp wrapped in yesterday's newspaper, c) moe-mar kadafi over the stain any day at all.

Any day!!

Let’s really rile the waters and start a “draft Cheney” movement. He would at least sound like Trump, in point-of-view about Obama, but would be more articulate and communicate with distinction. He too is good with one-line zingers.

All the above is said with a little wistfulness for the ole Cheney style and with a little tongue-in-cheek.

There is a point beyond which I am no longer willing to hold my nose and vote R. Pawlenty straddles that point.
