When President Obama outlines his tax-increase plan on Wednesday, itll be based on the liberal assumption that all money belongs to the government, with Americans retaining only what bureaucrats allow. Thats the dangerous argument Supreme CourtJustice Elena Kagan, an Obama appointee, made last week in a case on education funding. Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization v. Winn involved a tuition tax credit whereby Arizonans can contribute to groups providing scholarships for private schools. Some cranks argued that because the scholarships can be used at religious schools,

“When President Obama outlines his tax-increase plan on Wednesday, itll be based on the liberal assumption that all money belongs to the government, with Americans retaining only what bureaucrats allow.”
That is, the argument first advanced by Marx/Lenin/Trotsky, otherwise known as State Socialism, but in reality a euphemism for oligarchical communism.
Ironic that, after fighting the Cold War for many decades, pouring our national treasure and countless lives into the struggle, and watching the former Soviet Union, as well as Communist China, move in the direction of capitalism, our leaders have embraced the World Communist Movement, albeit long after it became terminally moribund elsewhere.
The American motto seems to be, “First win the war, then surrender.”
Frightening.
That is also the legal definition of money in U.S. Tax Court. No joke - under the I.R.S. Code, taxpayers own no money - zero, zip, nada. The foundation of the argument that is used to support the income tax is that all of "your" money is the governments, and they "let" you have a certain amount of it back, after they keep part. That's the law - or at least the government's interpretation of the law that you will face if you go to tax court. Kagen is merely letting the cat out of the bag.
So Kagan, former head of the Harvard Law School and appointed by Obama, is a flaming Socialist. Whodathunkit?
“At present, Anthony Kennedy is the only thing standing between us and a totalitarian regime.”
How true
Grahamnesty loves her and Sotomayor, two outright Socialists, Open Borders and Sharia Law/Finance endorsers...not to mention Socialized Medicine.
We are f-ed.
true dat! Culture shift. The days of aspiring to become a ‘self made man of means’ disappeared. We’re spoiled by our own ‘earned success’.
excellent point
yes and Republicans just folded instead of exposing the nominees
