Last weekend, His Presidency Barack Obama was captured making potentially offensive comments to a group of big money donors who had paid large sums of money for special access to His Presidency.
We observed that CBS only released selectively edited moments from the raw tape. We know how much the mainstream media values complete and full disclosure of recordings of this nature, so we found it curious, to say the least, that there was not one drop of intellectual curiosity from these guardians of media purity regarding the content of the full recording.
Maybe CBSs motive has nothing to do with protecting His Presidency from potential embarrassment. Perhaps, like Nixon before them, CBS accidentally erased the portions of the recording that they have not released. Anything is possible, right?
Alas, no. John Romano, Publisher of the blog Yes, But, However! has confirmed with CBSs Mark Knoller (via Twitter) that CBS has decided that they are not going to release the complete recording.
@markknoller Why havent you released all of the audio of President Obamas donor meeting? If you have please link?
@markknoller This is my third request. Why will you not release the full audio of Obamas donor conversation?
@yesbuthowever My editors decided against it.
People can speculate as to what their motive is, but we suspect that they do not want to jeopardize their White House access leading into campaign season by being the ones to release the audio of His Presidency referring to Americans as slugs.
DOUBLE “The bombing begins in 5 minutes” STANDARD ping!
If he called federal workers “Slugs”, I owe him an apology. He is indeed not entirely clueless.
Did he just call Americans “slugs” ?
I don't watch CBS News, so I don't know what kind of on-air reports he provides, but his Twitter commentary is frequently scathing (and hysterical) about Obama and his administration.
Nothing came up when I searched before posting. I’m amazed how often I’ll post something then someone repeats the post and no one says a thing, but invariably if I do a repeat post there’s someone like you to immediately point out the repeat.
Lonesome Rhodes?
CBS would extend the same courtesy to a Republican president.

Is CBS still in business? I didn’t know as I only seem to get my news nightly from Fox News....

Since this broke, I have been wondering about this. Although this was supposedly open mike, Obama said nothing he really didn’t seem to want us to hear. I was thinking maybe it was a planted “open” mike script, designed to fire up the base.
Now we hear it it has been filtered. I have no problem if it is released with the caution that it has been censored. However, if it has been released as an open mike, this is highly unethical. Scary, the propaganda machine the media has become.
They twist news items to put their spin on things.
Remember the famous Rodney King beating video? The one where we saw the cops beating him, which triggered such outrage? The entire tape was never aired. The entire tape of that incident showed King attacking the officers, being very aggressive, and the cops being unable to subdue him using less physical methods. But instead the liberal view became that police beat up a poor defenseless “motorist”, as he was described.
And nobody ever talked about how Rodney King was speeding at over 100 mph, as he was fleeing, as he was a prime suspect in another crime incident. None of these other details ever made it to the MSM.
So the media twist things all the time. This news about Obama’s open mike is not surprising.
It’s the first time I’ve seen the post. Don’t let it bother you, the post police just need more work to do.

The BrownShirt Media’s behavior is going from irresponsible to criminal...
