DILWORTH, Minn. — A 5-year-old northwestern Minnesota boy, born with numerous congenital birth defects, has died on a Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World in Florida. Daytyn Hart enjoyed four days at Disney World, swimming and visiting the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Cocoa Beach. He died Friday at a hospital in Orlando, Fla. His father, Desi Hart, says he and his wife, Angie, discussed the trip with Daytyn's doctors and everyone agreed he was healthy and able to make the trip.

Probably nothing this little boy could have dreamed of more than stepping directly from the Magic Kingdom into the Eternal Kingdom. In a way I envy him.

Not now, Domandred. Please respect Daytyn and his family.

I’ll bet the Eternal Kingdom has way more spectacular things to see and do than what could ever have been imagined for Disney World!

“If I had my way I would go riding Space Mountain.”

More of a Splash Mountain guy myself (to tall and wide shoulders for Space Mountain), but right there with you.

In any case, if you gotta go, what better place for a 5-year old than Disney World?

That’s the truth. Actually, I wouldn’t mind going that way either - just having fun at Disney World!

You know, God keeps His sovereignty intact of deciding when we die.

I would think that He had a role in deciding when Daytyn died.

And who knows, perhaps God wanted his family to remember Daytyn as a fun-loving kid @ Disney World vs. a bed-ridden kid elsewhere.

We all need to keep that in mind this Easter week. What traditions and memories will our family remember when we've moved on...when they moved on?

We have a limited time to make memories. In this economy, skimp on much...but don't skimp on making memories when you have the opportunity!

When I worked at Tweetsie Railroad in NC, we had a kid drop dead when an Indian jumped on the train. He was severely Downs and was at the end of his heart.

In that case, death would be a mercy.
