Mississippi Town Destroys Westboro Baptist Plans

The Westboro Baptist Church once again makes the headlines. This time however, the good news is that they were foiled in their attempts to disrupt another serviceman’s funeral. Mississippi gives the Westboro the kind of welcome that we would all like to give.

Since we have reported on the Westboro Baptist Church a few times here, it is fitting that we update you on the latest.

Last Saturday, USMC Staff Sgt. Jason Rogers was laid to rest in Brandon, Mississippi. He was killed in action in Afghanistan on April 7th. Many of the town’s residents paid homage along the route of the fallen hero as his body was transported home.

Most notably absent were the Westboro protestors who planned a large demonstration at Sgt. Rogers’ funeral. According to an Ole Miss message board, a tidbit of info………..

“A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.

Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.

A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.”

What the westboro people do is evil and has nothing to do with God. I am so glad this town took a stand against them.

Sweet. Now the next step would be to discourage any live media coverage of these %$#@$%. It is the attention they want. If it is denied they will go away.

When I just glanced at the title of the thread, I thought it said “Mississippi Town Destroys Westbor Baptist Church” and I thought to myself, “dang, finally.”

Gee. What an odd set of purely coincidental occurances to have happen all at one time, in one town. I guess the Westboro bunch was remarking “WHAT A REVOLTIN’ DEVELOPMENT THIS IS !!!!” - I want to be in on the next drubbing if they come to a soldier’s funeral near us. I’m thinking something along the lines of blocking cars and tying tin cans on their back bumpers, and maybe something involving goat cheese. Our little goat, Ditzy, wants to participate some way.

What the Westboro people do is evil and has nothing to do with God. Fred Phelps and his gang of miscreants are Baptists in name only. They've appropriated that term to give cover for their leftist philosophy and street theater.

The Westboro bunch are DemonRATs, Gore supporter, and lawyers championing far-left causes. In fact, old Fred himself was the recipient of multiple awards from vile, racist outfits like the NAACP.

I'm not a tin-foiler but I'd not be real surprised if I were to learn that George Soros of someone of his ilk was financing this group. The lamestream media goes out of their way to refer to this motley crew as "fundamentalist Christians". Of course, nothing could be further from reality.

“...a crime they might have possibly been involved in...”

Like the county pickup trucks suddenly refusing to run? Them Kansas cars might have has jammers or EMP devices in them. Can’t blame the locals for getting concerned.

“something along the lines of blocking cars and tying tin cans on their back bumpers”

Go to the gunshop/hunting supply store, and buy some Skunk Essence! Amazing stuff. Hunters use it to cove their human scent whilst deer hunting. I put in on a friend’s tires as a joke. He wasn’t to pleased!

Several years back an adult male Westboroite opened his mouth in Kentucky. A couple of citizens put him in the hospital, where he needed to spend several weeks. It happened in the midst of a crowd. The police were unable to find any corroborating witnesses.

The Westboroites' only source of income is lawsuits they file against organizations and governments who they accuse of violating their civil rights.

When there is civil solidarity, with no cooperating witnesses, the Westboroites are powerless. The press is their best accomplice.

And don’t forget to rub poison ivy on the door handles! I do that to my political signs. Doesn’t discourage theft of the signs, but I just watch the neighbors to see who has a case!
