State Department Wants To Make It Harder To Get A Passport
Consumer Traveler ^

If you don’t want it to get even harder for a U.S. citizen to get a passport — now required for travel even to Canada or Mexico — you only have until Monday to let the State Department know.

The U.S. Department of State is proposing a new Biographical Questionnaire for some passport applicants: The proposed new Form DS-5513 asks for all addresses since birth; lifetime employment history including employers’ and supervisors names, addresses, and telephone numbers; personal details of all siblings; mother’s address one year prior to your birth; any “religious ceremony” around the time of birth; and a variety of other information. According to the proposed form, “failure to provide the information requested may result in … the denial of your U.S. passport application.”

The USSA is cracking down in their TSA/Border Guard/SS perspective of the comrade citizens. Tougher passport controls is a good step in the police state direction. And you can magically approve the passports of your friends, and deny those of your enemies and persons you want staying home. Like denying the vote on literacy tests where the test giver chooses the words to spell. It gives you virtual veto over anybody’s passport.

It's so USSR.

How long until we see currency export controls and other Eurosocialist/Soviet controls on freedom? The IRS is already inside of every account you have anywhere in the world. THink you can open an account outside of Uncle Sam's reach or knowledge? One, you can't and two, you just committed felonies.

Could you have imagined mandatory crotch grabbing “terrorism searches” of small children in airports a decade ago?

What happened to the land of the free?

Welcome to the USSA, comrades.

“In addition to this primary use of the data, the DS-5513 may also be used as evidence in the prosecution of any individual who makes a false statement on the application and for other uses as set forth in the Prefatory Statement and the Passport System of Records Notice (State-26).”

The commissars would prefer that the comrades not go abroad too much. Stay home and work, comrades. No escaping the USSA.

The perjury clause felony threat will make most comrades say the hell with it. I’ll stay home.

I’ll be honest, as someone who grew up people risking their lives to get over the Berlin Wall, this is perhaps the most concerning development I’ve seen in America in the course of my lifetime. When you shift from a nation that has to keep people out to one that is setting up the mechanisms to keep people in, a very serious line has been crossed.

And while they are checking your papers and your fingerprints (digitally scanned) and your DNA swab (now approved), to see if you can leave the Homeland, they can direct your wife and children to the crotch-groping line. And if you get lippy about it, comrade, we'll arrest you and ruin you. So shut up and take it.

Of course they’re making it chrd to get a passport.
You can’t run a proper dictatorship if you allow people out of the country.

This article suggests that all this extra data is needed ONLY IF YOU CAN’T SUPPLY A BIRTH CERTIFICATE

apology for shouting but I’m laughing so hard I’m rolling on the floor!

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/04/passports-and-freedom-to-leave/237858/

This one states the form is for
1) wants a passport and 2) “wasn’t born in a medical facility” (or didn’t have their birth recorded within a year of it happening).

http://papersplease.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/ds5513-proposed.pdf

Above is the form itself.

http://www.mediaite.com/online/proposed-passport-questionnaire-asks-are-you-circumcised/

This one restates the “no birth cert” issue.

So if you have a valid BC, you are OK, even if you plan to travel to Pakistan.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE INFORMATION HUSSEIN OBAMA SHOULD BE PROVIDING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC RIGHT NOW!!!

The new Berlin Wall is built of paperwork and red tape instead of concrete and steel.

Either way, you will have a hell of a time escaping, comrade.
