meeting with the former CEO of Goldman Sachs to help raise money for himself, instead of thinking of the victims....nah, the press wouldn’t have skewered Bush if he had done this? (sarcasm)

"Today was a fun day," Obama said at his first fund-raising event at ex-NJ Gov Corzine's apartment.

Aha---so Ohaha's getting some of the $17.5 Billion stimulus he sent to NJ for Corzine's relection......... that simply disappeared.

Here's how the Corzine reelection went down.

OBAMA WAS DESPERATE FOR NJ's CORZINE TO WIN Obama put the power of the WH machine behind the incumbent Dem even though Corzine helped Hillary win the NJ primary.

The NY Times reported :
(a) every TV ad Corzine put on the air was being screened by Obama's WH team.
(b) Corzine's aides gave the WH daily briefings.
(c) Obama’s pollsters took over for Corzine’s polling team, and,
(d) White House operatives were on the ground for internal strategy sessions,

Vote-starved Democrats rigged the NJ election with latino votes (so they thought)

(e) White House operatives were orchestrating obscure pep rallies with NJ Latinos (kept secret from voters),
(f) Corzine had a "Peruvian Pac" endorsing him.
(g) Ohaha campaigned in NJ three times, Biden was there twice. Ohaha TV ads ran relentlessly.
(h) Corzine promised to give illegals ‘driving credentials’ & in-state tuition.
(i) Corzine sucked up to illegal immigrants and REFUSED to enforce current immigration laws
(j) Corzine formed a Blue Ribbon committee of hypenates using tax dollars to mine votes for Corzine.
(k) Also sucking up to illegals was Sen Robert Menendez, a major Corzine fellater.

OTHER SALIENT POINTS

>> Incumbent Dem Jon Corzine (the wealthy loser) outspent the Repub winner Chris Chirstie about 4-1.
>> New Jersey has a huge Democratic registration.
>> Corzine bragged he had 20,000 paid union helpers on the ground election day to get out the vote.
>> There was a third party candidate siphoning off Republican votes.
>> Corzine had the power of incumbency.
>> Corzine had the power of a crooked Democrat Machine cooking the vote.
>> Ohaha hid $17.5 BILLION stimlulus in New Jersey.....for Corzine's reelection campaign. One statewide paper reported they could not find any sign of the $17.5 Billion stimulus after it hit NJ.

After all of this---Corzine lost handily.

Obama doesn’t give a damn about the South since the South goes GOP.

That's a correct assessment. Here's O'Bambi's core constituency:

Not to defend the guy but folks who've lived in theMidwest long enough(Chicago is in the Midwest) have a tendency to not worry about tornados until they get very close to them.

At the same time a mile wide tornado is unusual. I was about 8 years old and my mother was bringing me and my brother back from the neighbors to play. All at once a mile wide tornado popped up just West of us.

The next 5 or 6 houses we passed was one of my longer trips in my life. We were running and the storm was bearing down and looming ever higher and larger. You could see stuff like whole trees, roofs, trucks, buses, cars and things that used to be things swirling around.

We made it to shelter. The storm hit the street a couple of blocks to our West and then bounced. It went over and came down in what was then a forest. Then bounded out of there and just kind of hopped all the way out of Marion County, Indiana into the oblivion it so richly deserved.

That storm made the news as "12 Block Wide Tornado Hits Indianapolis".

These very large storms are more like what you get with sheering winds than the higher speed smaller funnels. Still, there at the center, you don't want to ever be there. You want to see it go away and leave you alone.

I just watched half a dozen of the Tuscaloosa videos and that's the storm I saw ~ just like that ~ but it never quite turned into a wedge ~ just huge, black, wide, and full of things.

There's no where to run and no way to hide from the mile wide storm.

"It's a fun day, Anthony! It's neat how you made all those tornados and stuff. That was good, what you did. The president thinks it was a fun day, too!"

There will never be an exact figure, but best estimates are around 1800. NOAA reported 1836 fatalities in five states.

GWB had assets ready to go to Louisiana, and only needed the go ahead from the then governor Blank-O. Fedgov can not just send in aid, it has to be with the permission/request of the state government. So Blank-O plays politics with the lives of the people in Louisiana, does not want to be seen taking aid from the Eeeviiilll Bush, and yet blames the Eeeeeviiiilll Bush for not doing anything. The good people of Louisiana wised up to that game.
Now Obama plays politics with the lives people that are not on his side.
I am currently reading Robert Conquest’s book on the Great Terror. This is to a different degree, but still the same old song and dance.

The man is so starstruck and obsessed with partying he can’t find time to be POTUS. At least Trump’s head wouldn’t be turned by the celebrity and power-it’s all old stuff to him.

The disasters brought on by these storms should not be used for political / partisan points by either side.

I read that story probably 40 years ago, and it’s as vivid now as it was then. Obama=Anthony. God help you if he arrives and decides he knows what’s best for you.
