Trump supported Hillary Clinton in the primary and was ticked off, first, when she lost to Obama and then again when she was snubbed for the Vice President slot. This caused Trump to support John McCain and attack Obama, despite the positions of Obama and Clinton not being all that different. There is no other reason for his John McCain support except to know that Clinton lost to Obama, and he was not happy about that. After all, he had supported the DNC, Clinton, Reid, Kennedy, and all the other bigwigs of Democratic Party politics that were tied to the Clintons, had claimed that Democrats are better for business, and supported Hillarys socialist health care plans. Even within the last 2 years his support of Clinton cronies ran high. He supported longtime Clinton ally Rahm Emmanuel with $50,000 in his recent race for Chicago mayor. Emmanuel initially supported Hillary for President before declaring neutrality because of Obamas Chicago ties. Trump supported Clinton ally Terry McAuliffe with a $25,000 donation in his bid for Virginia Governor in 2009 and then, like with Hillary Clinton, did not support the eventual Democrat primary victor. Trump gave around $100,000 to the Clinton Library/Foundation. Even during Trumps Birth Certificate crusade he has constantly cited Clintons initial rumor-milling during the 2008 primary about Obamas eligibility.
So, theres your reason: Trumps anti-Obama rampage has more to do with his loyalty towards the Clintons (and his anger at their fall) than any sudden change of heart over conservative policies. And thats the story of a Clintonite scorned. Is he running? Doubtful. Trump doesnt have the attention span to run a 2 year campaign, much less be President. He will never release his full finances in order to run. He hasnt set up any form of website or campaign structure. He doesnt want to give up his TV show and he doesnt want to surrender 8 years of money-making (not that he would get elected).

Trump may be collaterally helping Shrillary, but it doesn’t matter.

Shrillary and the impeached Bill Clinton don’t have a chance. Trump really is representing the “silent majority”

I think there just may be something to this........let’s keep our eyes open for how things develop with Trump.....
I could see his swinging his support for Hilary on the last day of his show, throwing all the support that he generates to her........

Trump is not a conservative. Period. No conservatives should be supporting a potential candidate for President who is not a conservative.
Trump should go run in the Democratic party. He can launch a primary campaign against Obama. Trump’s past policy positions such as his support for socialized healthcare, massive wealth taxes, etc, would allow him to run as a populist leftist. He’d get support from the Dennis Kucinich wing of the Democratic party.
To: Arlis
He does keep mentioning we will be “surprized” when he does his decision announcing thing.
I’ve heard him say it more than once. Saying it with some significance... “you will be surprized”.
I’ve been supportive of Trump. He’s saying a lot of things nobody else is clear-headed or brave enough to.
Must confess a certain concern about what the “surprize” is he keeps referring to.

Exactly. I think this piece is 100% correct.
To: JACKRUSSELL
Just a hypothetical:
What if Trump were to announce he were running to oppose Obama, in the Democrat primary?
I think it’s important for our side to consider that possibility and be prepared for it. Trump would do well to clearly signal he’s intending to be a Republican go-forward.
Clear and often.

"No conservatives should be supporting a potential candidate for President who is not a conservative."
If I have to choose between a conservative that does not have the balls or leadership skills to put 0bama, the DNC, and Karl Rove on the defensive and Donald Trump who hands them their a$$ daily. I choose the leader, you can stick with the followers.
What this country needs is leadership that can take the fight to the enemy, not another bunch of wimps too afraid to even ask the questions that need to be asked.
Please name me one conservative that forced 0bama to produce a document (forged) that he paid millions to keep secret?
BTW I would support a Trump\West ticket, who is your choice of candidates?

That is an Arab saying, and it explains much of what it happening in the Middle East. I prefer the one from The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries. "Rule 29 - The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's enemy. No more. No less." Followed by rule 30 - A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.
Don't trust Trump. And especially don't befriend Trump. He is hurting Obama, so let him do that, but understand that to us he is a useful tool and we had better have a plan for eliminating him once his usefulness is done. Because he most certainly has a plan for eliminating us.

Must confess a certain concern about what the surprize is he keeps referring to. I wouldn't be too concerned. Trump is a master at marketing and is just piquing interest.

Yes, that was an interesting marketing ploy, I do not think it would be a "surprise" if he announced to run as a Republican.
My conjecture would be that in his meeting with the GOP, they told him there was no way he was going to get the nomination and support of the GOP.
So he will announce that he is running as a 3rd Party candidate because the polls have him as the wining candidate at this time.
In that way he completes his story that he would not run as a 3rd party "unless he thought he could win".
Karl Rove and the GOP shoot themselves in the foot again and nominate Romney.
0bama is elected for 4 more years because the RINO's will not switch over to vote for Trump.

It’s a nice, neat theory and it explains a lot. Except I have a hard time believing that Donald Trump is loyal to anybody more than himself. Could the Clintons really help him all that much? They are after all carpet-baggers in NY.

The GOP is in the process of committing suicide.
I’m not sure there’s anything we can do.
But voting for Trump is not the answer either.
Voting Conservative is.

You don't have to know the plan to know there is one. Trump is not a conservative. If he became president he will silence and marginalize pro life, pro religion, and conservative values oriented groups. It is not rocket science, just look at his record in business. Partners are recruited and then pushed aside once their usefulness is expended. If you are a conservative and believe that once in power this guy is going to show you gratitude and share power you are also a fool. Trump doesn't share power or the spotlight. That is the most absolute constant of his rise.
The second constant is that Trump is a planner. He always has several plans running at any one time. He does not act impulsively, he always has a plan. Even if that plan isn't obvious at the time, if past evidence is any indicator, there still is a plan. So if cultural conservatives will need to be marginalized after his rise to power, it only makes sense he already has a plan for doing it.
