Too smart for politics?
NY Post ^ | April 30, 2011 | Editorial

Even for DC's worshipful press corps, Washington Post scribe Dana Mil bank's latest column was a doozy.

Hoping to explain why the president appears to be an indecisive waffler, Milbank whelped this whopper:

Obama's too smart for his own good.

That's a new one. But is it true -- is Obama too bright to be president?

Milbank consulted his tea leaves -- and a few social scientists -- to help diagnose Obama's malady:

Genius in the extreme!

"I put Obama on the couch," Milbank wrote, "and came away with a reasonably coherent diagnosis: There's too much going on in the poor guy's head."

Obama's crime is that he's "the very model of the complex thinker" -- always weighing the pros and cons of each issue, like a modern-day King Solomon.

(That is, quite unlike O's troglodyte predecessor, George W. Bush, who was presumably too busy scrawling the Patriot Act on the walls of his cave.)

Quipped one quack: "What distinguishes Obama is the depth and carefulness of his thinking, which renders him somewhat unfit for politics."

Well, if not unfit for politics, then self-evidently unsuited to policy-making.

Still, who can know for sure?

But what if the prez were to release his long-hidden college transcripts?

Hmmm . . .

Oh, Donaaaaald!

I read somewhere (may have been here in FR) “0bama isn’t smart — he’s a stupid person’s idea of what smart looks like.”

I’ve ever since kind of liked that quote.

That's *not* new, Zero's alleged great intellect has been the Demwit Party Talking Point (DPTP) since Obama's presidential campaign began with his Senate run. And for a super-intelligent illegal alien, he's also excoriated for not being able to string more than three words together without a teleprompter.

Bill Sammon has some interesting bits on Dana Milbank in his book Fighting Back. Already before 9/11 Milbank had made a name for himself by his extremely sarcastic, condescending, and "insolent" pool reports which were distributed to other reporters--extreme even by the standards of the Bush-hating press. Fortunately he was not on the President's trip to Florida in September 2001 or he would have had a chance to shape the national perception of how Bush reacted to the first news of the attacks on the Twin Towers.

It’s been like this ever since I can remember going back to the fifties and sixties. “You know that Adlai Stevenson, he was just too smart for those stupid Americans who voted in Eisenhower by landslides both times.” By saying that about Stevenson, they meant themselves as well. I wonder how many of these genius libs have ever read Hayek, Sowell, or Friedman? Not many I would wager.

Milbank is too homosexual for his own good. The VD's must be affecting his thinking already.

Is she trying to claim he’s some kind of idiot savant? I haven’t seen much evidence of his brilliance.

When are they going to use the excuse that the WH dog ate his homework?

“There’s too much going on in the poor guy’s head.” - Milbank.
Inside Obama’s head - “A big black dog sat on my back porch and Bingo was his name-o. B-I-N-G-O.”

As a college professor myself, I'm shocked that those professors didn't immediately recognize Obama for what he is. I've seen dozens of glib, BS artists like Obama who latch on to a few pat phrases and confidently pontificate on any subject but who wilt under questioning when their ignorance becomes clear.

How anyone can watch Obama in a non-scripted situation and come away impressed by his intelligence is beyond me. I'd bet my bottom dollar that when Obama was a lecturer at Northwestern Law School that he was dumbest person in the room.

Nah. Chauncy was a good and nice person who had a limited life. Obambi has major anger issues. He is spiteful and unpleasant.

I didn't care for Clinton but I can see where he could be charming. I don't get that from Obambi. He reminds me more of Carter who is a very little man that few people would want to be around.

Think about it, does Obambi have any friends? Not political tools but actual friends? If he does, you never hear of them.

It was U of Chicago, I believe.

Have you ever seen the exams he gave his students?

I am pretty sure they are still posted online.

I guarantee you, regardless of your academic background, the questions will make your eyeballs spin around in your head.

The ones I have seen-—supposedly on “constitutional law”-—are actually about federal programs and bureaucratic regulations and are so absurdly convoluted that the poor student would need most of the alotted time just to plow through the weeds and B.S.

Obama: mediocre student and likely a very bad teacher.

I have always agreed with the idea of liberalism as a mental disorder but the denial of reality by the typical Obot is worse than that.

I live near Clearwater, so I recognize the signs: Obama-worship looks like straight-up, brainwashed, Scientology-style cultism.
