The excerpt says it all. The problem with birthers is not that they are opposed to Obama. Any rational person should be that. It's that they interpret evidence only to confirm what they already feel. Kinda like liberals.

Really? Does that include this man?

I’m fine with Palin. Love her. But show me the real long form and all the rest of the missing records and then this particular issue would be history.

Nice try, but Jim has not been promoting birther theories.

Obviously they're talking about the notion that Hussein is a good President.

"Where in the constitution does it say Dual born citizens are eligible?"

Wrong question. Where does it say they aren't?

And let's cut straight to the correct answer. It doesn't.

Yes, there are people doing that too. I did compare birthers to liberals for a reason.

Just because you said so, no backsies, double finger cross, zingers.

YOU have no PROOF.

You are going by feelings without logic.

The constitution REQUIRES the POTUS to be NBC.

The constitution REQUIRES the POTUS to be NBC.

The constitution REQUIRES the POTUS to be NBC.

Did I hurt your feelings?

I feel that Obama has not proved that he is eligible to run for president. The "evidence" he has provided indicates to me that he is still lying. Why should anyone believe him? Why do you?

But he is saying is somethings are missing . What he asks for sure smells like what a birther has been/is asking.

In psychology, it's called "selective perception." People tend to value information that supports their existing beliefs, and devalue information that contradicts their existing beliefs. This is normal human behavior but counter to reason. Reason demands that we draw conclusions based on observable facts and sound logic.

There are numerous "birther" beliefs, and each must be examined separately to evaluate its validity.

Regarding the validity of the latest BC, I cannot draw a conclusion because I cannot detemermine all the facts surrounding the BC. A forensic document examiner can do that, but I cannot. If Joe Blow walked up to me and handed me a BC like Obama's, I could not determine its authenticity. To date, I have not seen convincing evidence that the BC is real or fake. Therefore, I will await further facts before drawing a conclusion.

I agree that the Constitution does not say anything explicitly about a person with duel citizenship not being eligible for POTUSA. It does say explicitly POTUSA shall be a ‘natural born citizen’. I would guess the next logical link to be answered is “Who is a natural born born and what sets the status of such?. As for me I’ll go with the Founding Fathers and their documents and public expression of intentions.

Wrongo mlo—

Article 2 Section 1:

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

No person...It doesn’t say dual born citizens are or are not eligible. It says...No person except an NBC.

No person except a natural born citizen.

No you aren't. You are going with birther distortions of what the Founding Fathers said. Again, see the original post. They start with what they want to believe and make the evidence fit that.
