Today President Obama is traveling to Ground Zero to commemorate the killing of Osama Bin Laden. What is President Obama's purpose in going to Ground Zero if he could not be bothered to meet or invite all the 9/11 families who lost loved ones there? Many families are devastated and saddened about being left out and do not understand why that occurred. I was at Ground Zero on September 11th, 2009 and can emphatically state that not one family member is ever denied access to that sacred area. Numbers or space is not an excuse for turning away family members that have sacrificed and endured the loss of their loved ones this past ten years.
The Obama representative responded that "In consultation with the National 9/11 Memorial staff, we invited a group of 9/11 family members who we believe represents a cross section of family members from various 9/11 organizations. The President looks forward to spending time visiting with the families of those who were tragically killed on 9/11." Well, Mr. President, not all the families just the ones handpicked. At least the family members should be allowed to come to Ground Zero to be recognized, especially if the President is going to say a few words.
Those left out include the mom of a ten year old boy who was invited as well as the husband of an elderly couple that have gone to every 9/11 event together. The Obama representative was contacted by Americanthinker.com and he responded that if given the names he would correct the mistake. A few hours later the couple called me to inform me they were allowed to come.

Yep..saw it with my own eyes...LOL!! That was foremost in his mind...the very first thing he did. He wanted to make sure they saw him and could photograph him.

Just as in any Blue State, there are plenty of patriotic Americans in NY (maybe not as many as in the heartland)- such as many of the police and firemen. Yes, they may be union, and they may be Dems, but I have no doubt they love this country.
Obama’s speech to firefighters:
“Obviously we can’t bring back your friends that were lost, and I know that each and every one of you not only grieve for them, but have also over the last 10 years dealt with their family, their children, trying to give them comfort, trying to give them support. “
Must be the same speech writer from his talk in Alabama after the tornadoes:
“We can’t bring those who have been lost back. They’re alongside God at this point. We can help maybe a little bit with the families dealing with the grief of having a loved one lost. But the property damage, which is obviously extensive, that’s something that we can do something about.”

I feel so sad for this family! May God watch over them. They are right - there is no closure.
One guy this morning said he was no invited but his long time aunt who has been an outcast of the family for donkey years got invited and he said she is a far left wing .
Nothing but a photo op to be used for his re-election and the media as usual do their job for him/
The biggest enemy to this country is not OBL’s nutters it is this media which do nothing but push the white house lies and get him to be voted in again.
Not asking for a media which gives it form a right view point I want a media which does their frigging jobs and report to the public what is going on and then let us decide if we agree.
Obama et al know exactly what they are doing: kicking off their endless campaign. I hope that a lot of the families boycotted this. And let’s not forget about KSM and how Eric Holder wanted to hold the “trial” in downtown Manhattan. Yes, Holder: another illustrious graduate of Stuyvesant High School.

I would hope the "9/11 families" would see through this as well, but I guess not so many.
