Obama's War on Oil
american spectator ^ | 5-4-11 | Peter Ferrara

Why would President Obama want high gas prices? It's a matter of ideology for him. He thinks it's good for the environment for gas prices to be high. The higher gas prices are, the less you will drive.

Also, higher gas prices make his beloved "alternative fuels" more competitive. That is because these alternative fuels are inherently more expensive, and so can't compete with cheaper gas. Note this is not a prescription for easing the financial burden on working people. High gas prices make it more likely you will buy expensive "alternative fuels." But either way, your wallet will still be drained.

Obama is an Islamo-Marxist-Chicago Gangster. He is counting on a dumbed down population letting him continue to destroy America.

A tax hike for oil ? don’t look now, but, the Obama White House is floating a plan to tax you by how many miles you drive.

And alternative energy production is much easier for the government to manage and control than oil because it cant easily be imported or exported. They miss the government/union control of the 1960s factories where both consumers and producers were hostages.

While many here just want congressional Republicans to publicly call Obama a Kenyan(which I always thought was losing argument) , I would rather have them call out Obama for :’Wanting us to pay high gas prices and plotting it’. Remember 2006 Pelosi literally blamed Bush/Cheney's motives for high prices ? ‘Two oil men in the White House’ ? Well what is Republicans problem doing the same.

In December, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service began the process of listing the dunes sagebrush lizard as an endangered species. As Investors Business Daily explained on April 28:
If the dunes sagebrush lizard, now considered a separate species, is granted endangered status, oil and gas production in the Permian Basin in New Mexico and Texas may have to be shut down…. The Department of Energy says the Permian Basin has a quarter of the nation's proven reserves and 20% of the nation's daily production comes from there. It has a quarter of the nation's active oil and gas wells and is home to 21% of the rigs actively drilling in the U.S.

Do a keyword search on lizard to see the multiple articles on this grab by Obama's F&WS to lock up millions of acres of oil and gas rich areas.

Next will be North Dakota - they’re getting out of hand with all that prosperity.

Small enough?:

(Note: I believe if you copy the image it will appear original size. To get it smaller for posting here I reduced the width to 300. Here is the script [remove space after < ]:

IMHO Constitutional issues always trump matters of moment. When Americans treat The Constitution—in whole or in part— with indifference the battle is lost. Our Constitution, and our commitment to it, are all that is between us and tyranny.

Is that old document read anymore? I thought it was filed away with the (Moses) ‘ Ark of Covenent’ at the end of Raisers of the Lost Ark, with the Bible :).

I have encountered something that disturbs me. It's the ‘conservative’ who thinks the constitution is something you turn on when a Democrat is president(they yell constitution alot), and turned off when a Republican president does things they want done. They dont admit this directly of course, it's something you can pick up in constitutional discussions. They dont care that liberals play exactly the same game, libs stopped talking about the constitution January 2009 after yelling 'constitution' for 8 years.
