Oh my heavens--Debra Burlingame who lost her brother on 9-11 and met with Obama today at Ground Zero is on Hannity's show and she says he was being trailed by a videographer with a still and video camera while meeting and hugging the 9-11 victims families today. No press cameras were allowed, but Obama had his own cameras there. This whole thing was nothing but the filming of a campaign commercial for Obama. That's why he did this, to tape a campaign spot. Can you imagine anything more disgusting and craven?
If it was not a public event, and it sounds like it was not since the media was barred, then the invitees have a right to privacy and the video should be destroyed or else the invitees can and should sue.

That may have been a fire fighter. The fire fighters union has been taking the lead on the public union fight for continued collective bargaining rights. The police can’t really do the job and the teachers are already viewed as adversaries of the tax payers. The fire fighters can make threats that the tax payers have a difficult time dealing with.
Remember the campaign to nationalize all the first responder unions under a single union that was hidden in the 9/11 first responder health care bill? It didn’t make it through Congress, but it wasn’t because Obama didn’t try to push it.

The Democrats raised hell for a week when Bush used a photo of him looking out the window of AF1 on 9/11 ... I wonder if their hypocrisy meter will even register Obama using Ground Zero and families of 9/11 victims as a photo op.

He can be filming the event for his private use later when out of office. Though I doubt it.

It is my understanding tht every president is filmed at all times he is in public.
I was just going to post that very same thing. It is really quite an honor among photojournalists to be chosen white house photographer. Some of them get unbelievable access to world changing events. Most of the the time they take pictures of handshakes.
In this day and age, I would think the videographers are right behind the White House Staff Photographer.
