U.S. intelligence is now in possession of a veritable "playbook" of al Qaeda operations -- from potential terror attack targets to information on international safe houses and top commanders -- thanks to the Navy SEAL raid that took down Osama bin Laden Sunday, officials told ABC News today.
The cache of electronic and handwritten materials obtained by the SEALs includes numerous hallmark al Qaeda plots including attacks on infrastructure targets such as water supply and transportation including rail and air, in what one official described as a "strategic guide for how to attack the U.S." In the past, al Qaeda planned for attacks on water supplies have included an interest in mining dams and in poisoning water supply. Intelligence experts have also have found what appears to be information about safe houses around the world and about al Qaeda leadership.

This is really bad KG. Makes me wonder if that is why Anwar Al-Awlaki was not at the location where they made the drone attack today. He was able to run off while ABC bragged and alerted AQ memebers that we had safe house locations.

If I were a member of Al Qaeda, I'd assume lots of information was compromised in the raid. It wouldn't take a report by the MSM to tip me off.
We need them to move so we can find the new safehouses. We need them to move so we can verify or newly establish their various relationships, vehicles,cellphone protocols. We need them to move so they will be anxious and make mistakes. We need them to move because, while moving, they aren’t in operational mode and if they are, they are lacking infrastructure and will be more prone to making mistakes.
I am certain there are other reasons. I am also certain that there are still competent professionals working to secure the USA. Not every agency is TSA. Not every agent is corrupt.
The alert for military bases and personnel was raised about 48 hours or so before we announced the kill. We do know a lot and there is obviously more than one surveillance in progress. The media has cooperated with intelligence agencies prior to this by withholding information and they have also been conduits for disinformation, knowingly or unknowingly.
It is to be wished that the enemy operatives are as dismissive and contemptuous of our intelligence services as are the FReepers posting to this thread. Arrogance usually loses, eventually.

This is starting to stink all the way to the top. It feels as if the Federal Government is trying real hard to sell this to the public. All the changing in the story of what happened. I’m sorry but my B.S. Meter is going crazy!
I heard something earlier this week from an insider that blew me away. A part of me does not want to believe it. Anyone else hear anything this week about this entire event?
