I would like to announce the birth of our third and fourth sons Nicholas Paul Roth & Charles Joseph Roth @ 1:01 & 1:02pm respectively on May 6, 2011. The boys are Identical twins born to James & Catherine Roth via cesarian section at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH. They are two months early and will be in the NICU for the next two to four weeks.
As many of you will recall, my wife and I lost our second son Douglas Charles Roth to heart problems and CHARGE related Complex on October 1, 2010.

We believe that the boys are a gift from God with a little help from our own personal saint Douglas. We ask that all at FreeRepuplic say a prayer for the boys as they are premature.
Blessings and a long life of happiness for you and your growing family! :)
Being a preemie myself, I can say that if they are breathing on their own, that is a great sign. They seem to be a good size for their length of term. Congratulations to you and your wife. Our elder son was born eighteen years ago, tomorrow. It makes Mother’s Day very special.
Prayers up for you and your family.
Congratulation!
Congratulations! God has truly blessed you! My first son was born at 31 weeks weighing 2 lb 2 oz. He was on oxygen his first night and then on a CPAP for another week. Thankfully although he was tiny, there was nothing else wrong with him and he just hung out in the NICU for 48 days getting bigger and stronger. Your two little precious boys will be in the best hands and they’ll be just fine! Those NICU folks are angels! Regardless, I’ll be praying for your family.
Congrats and prayers up!
CONGRATULATIONS!
When you get a chance, post photos!
Of course, that’ll probably be about this time next year. :-)
Congratulations. I was a NICU baby. Healthy and old now. :-) God willing, your boys will be able to say the same someday. You and your sons will be in my prayers.
Have twelve year old twin boys myself. You ain’t lived until you’ve been through the challenges of raising twin boys.
Congratulations.
God bless you, your wife and your family.
I am so happy for you and your wife! I will definitely say prayers for your family. I hope your wife is fine. From my understanding, a C section takes longer to heal from. I hope she is feeling great and on her feet in no time. I understand your fear especially after the tragedy of little Douglas. May Our Lord give you strength and courage. May His Presence be felt by your family.
As a tax preparer I can tell you that you kid's Social Security numbers will be inscribed on the birth certificate and their cards may also be attached. Keep these in a safe place since identity thieves would love to purloin those numbers.
I always suggest that my customers might go to a Dollar store and buy wallet picture holders to protect the SSI card since it is illegal to laminate the card!
Hugs and kisses for the Mother who has a twin blessing tomorrow!
Prayers up.
Congrats x 2! Parents are always concerned. That’s part of the job. But your sons have good weights and should be fine. Prayers up for their growth! Welcome, little freeper boys!
I have brothers who are identical twins. Those stories you may have heard about identical twins having an odd ability to connect to each other even though they're miles apart -- in the case of my bros, I can tell you, such stories are true. I have witnessed it first-hand too often. My dad had been a thorough skeptic as a young father; by the time I was in my teens, he had a saying about my twin bros, and he always says it with a rueful shake of the head: one of them eats the prunes, the other one spits out the seeds. More than 60 years later, my dad is still mystified by something he never thought he'd believe, but reality forced his hand!
My thoughts: Your boys have a tremendous amount of love between them as well as for the rest of their family, and in a way, bring double the blessings of love. I'm happy for your family!
Congrats on your blessed event. Tell your wife “GREAT JOB”!
In our prayers.
Congrats! All the best!
“kid’s Social Security numbers will be inscribed on the birth certificate”
Well, by all means, mask the SSN’s, but if you post their long-form BC’s on-line, we’ll be happy to consider either of the twins as eligible to become POTUS starting in 2048...
:)They are a gift Jim.Congrats and post some pics when you can.We will be praying.(((((Hugs)))))Fatima
What a Mother’s Day gift, indeed. Congrats to both of you.
May God’s mercy surround your family in these coming weeks.
Congratulations.
