60 Minutes aired the interview Steve Kroft conducted with President Obama on Wednesday at the White House in which the Commander-in-Chief discussed the successful mission to kill Osama bin Laden.
"I felt very strongly there was a strategic imperative to go after him," the President said even though he admitted they had no photograph and no direct evidence of bin Laden's presence.
The President also said he was "about as active as any project that I've been involved with since I've been President... I was not involved with designing the initial plan but each iteration they'd bring to me, make a full presentation, we would ask questions. We had multiple meetings in the Situation Room where we actually had a model of the compound and we would discuss how this operation might proceed and what various options there were."
Later, Kroft asked for the President's thoughts about the compound in Pakistan.
"I think we were surprised when we learned this compound had been there for five or six years, and it was in an area in which you would think that potentially he would attract some attention. So yes, the answer is that we were surprised that he could maintain a compound for that long without there being a tip off."
Kroft also asked about the concerns Obama before the mission....

Yes. Same as always with 0bama, if you don’t pay attention, it could almost sound as if he were saying something.
Obviously, neither Obama, nor his staff, nor the media, have any idea how utterly ridiculous this paragraph makes the President look.
He was "actively involved" because he received regular briefings. They let him ask questions. He got to see a model. Gee whiz, it was almost like being on the raid...
And he's trying to take credit for it!
Yet, he says it, nonetheless. The staff doesn't direct him away from this kind of self-serving BS. And the media reports it -- as if we should be proud of a childish president and his ego.
The Obama administration is one long national nightmare...
The strategic imperative was that, if it got out he let Osama get away, he would not finish his first term, let alone, get a second.
Is Barry telling us that he was a community organizer of the intelligence community? This Presidency is shaping up to be a conglomeration of the scripts from Manchurian Candidate, Wag the Dog, Pulp Fiction, a comedic version of Die Hard, and The King’s Speech.

I understand they weighted him down with pork sausages and pigs feet so I guess it’s possible he sank to the bottom.
I would like to see this guy spend just one day training
with SEALS. Not that I would do much better, but at least
