That’s the problem when power for basic essentials is handed to a government body. Eventually they will use it to control and compell behavior. It’s never been about what’s good for the children; but as usual, about control.
“Thats the problem when power for basic essentials is handed to a government body. Eventually they will use it to control and compell behavior.”
To be fair, the “basic essential” in question is education, which not me but many consider a perfectly legitimate application of government power. They’d have the power to control shoewear with or without free breakfasts. At best that “basic essential” adds power for whatever few minutes they come early.
I saw this story as being about power and control too.
“Eventually they will use it to control and compell behavior.”
It used to be eventually, now it is immediate.
“Its never been about whats good for the children; but as usual, about control.”
Exactly. That is the reason that the liberals love government provided health care.
