If there’s any justice it should be the likes of Soros who is getting socked, and even that is distasteful to me on principle. But I bet they’re going after conservative billionaires.

IIRC the Sierra Flub already changed to a 501(c)4 which makes contributions non-deductible by the contributor because they wanted to be able to lobby all levels of government with impunity.

But there are plenty of others out there that are low hanging fruit for the IRS if they'll just walk under a few more fruit trees and start pickin!!!

I doubt it based on the group quoted.

“Major donors to the new political organizations may have to pay a heavy premium for staying in the shadows,” said David Donnelly, national campaigns director of the Public Campaign Action Fund, a watchdog group. “It’s clear that the law says these secret political donors can’t have it both ways: If they choose to influence elections, they have to do it in the open or pay the taxman.”

I agree, environmenatl “non profits” have billions in assets. That alone is taking money away from any species that need “protecting”, and is buying them tremendous power over the lives of Americans. In return, they are accountable to no one, no matter how much dmage they do.
