Dennis, Dennis. It is painfully obvious that you do not understand Diversity.

Lemme splain. Your department has a staff of 5. In DC Diversity means the staff is 4 black women and one gay black fellow. At least 2 of the positions must be filled by a person who can read and write. It is OK if one reads, and the other writes.

Outside of DC, Diversity means that 2 of the black positions can go to an Hispanic and a mentally handicapped applicant, preferably a transgendered "Asian."

You are cruel. The animals at that zoo cannot speak! They need many staff spokespersons. You cannot reasonably expect the same person to speak for carnivores, and to also represent the wishes of herbivores!

BTW, I would bet that the animals have also been registered to vote in DC by ACORN. Check the voter rolls for Leroy Simba, José Tucán, María La Boa, Pete Parrot.
