I’m guessing she doesn’t want to keep her precious Senate seat much longer. Someone needs to tell Claire that you run to the center or the right to get elected. This will not play well.

She’ll tell the brothers in St Louis that she’s gonna give it to them and win a landslide. Carry St Louis big enough in a statewide election, and you win automatically - just not enough folks with sense in the rest of the state to overcome the brain dead inner city masses...red

Isn’t this like a bill of attainder? Passing a bill that specifically declares one industry (oil) to be taxed differently than others?

Claire is going to get her ass handed to her in 2012 and everybody knows it. I'm pulling for Sarah Steelman to get the nomination for the GOP but since the apparatus doesn't care for Steelman time will tell who the nominee will be.

This is going to make energy cheaper??

I don’t think so.

Even an idiot like myself can see that the oil company will simply pass the cost’s on the the consumer, Me.

But isn’t that the point? Don’t they want to make gasoline $5.00 a gallon or more?

And the oil companies will just raise product prices to cover it. That will make the senator very popular, huh?

This is what’s known as demagoguery. Will it work. I don’t expect it will for McCaskill this time.

That Claire McCaskill?

Yep, the very same same Crazy Claire.

She is still doing her lap dance for 0bama like she has on all his many failed policies and programs.

$4 or more for a gallon of gasoline means nothing to her. She is an elitist who does not care about what happens to the peasants.

She is depending on her moronic St Louis & & Kansas City base to reelect her.

The republicans need a candidate who will energize those who attend tea parties to turn out in big numbers.

Yeah gas prices will go down instead of up if you hike taxes on oil companies. Genius!

Next she’ll suggest smearing ice cream on your arms to keep the mosquitoes away.
