Pakistan to Return U.S. Chopper Tail

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has agreed to return the tail section of a U.S. helicopter used in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden earlier this month.

Sen. John Kerry, who met Monday with senior Pakistani civilian and military officials in Islamabad, said the gesture was among a number of steps both countries had agreed to take to rebuild shattered relations.

Pakistan is angered over the unilateral raid that targeted bin Laden in Abbottabad, a military garrison town 40 miles from Islamabad.

Pakistanis probably sold it to the highest bidder, which happens to be Uncle Sam.

In a way, I think they sold it to everybody. Sold the opportunity to inspect the wreckage for Chinese and Russians. The hardware itself to Americans, which could have fetched the biggest cash among “buyers.”

Just curious, does anyone know what the distance of the flight base was from where the choppers launched to Bin Laden's compound and approximately how long it takes to fly there?

The reason I ask, my impression was that the seals were in the compound for only 40 minutes after they landed and the one chopper was destroyed. Weren't we told that a third chopper had to be launched to help with the extraction and if so, could it have flown whatever distance was required in that short period of time?

Strangely enough, nothing has been written by the MSM about the revenge bombing by Al-Qaeda in Pakistan this past Friday. By last night there were already 90 dead and more than 140 wounded. European news even included blood an guts pics.

Also nothing about the Pockies’ statement that the US’ raid was unacceptable and that there will be consequences.

Perhaps they’re threatening us so that we may increase their annual stipend.
