Donald Trump is not running for president.

"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency," Trump said in a statement Monday. "This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country," the real estate mogul and reality show star continued.

Suggest we forget about the birth certificate, re-focus and fight like hell for a conservative candidate that we can all support!! Our Liberty depends upon it.

Amen. Big ditto.

Brown Deer,

I've already heard this statement.

Did Huckabee comment about why he gave Trump the ending of his program to make a (comical) appearance?

This isn't a big issue to me, just very odd.

“Unlike birthers, I don't launch personal attacks against those who disagree with me on this subject. I don't attack FReepers.”

There you go again. This is yet another smear by you against “birthers,” painted with a broad brush against all bithers stating that birthers (as a class) “launch personal attacks against those who disagree with me.”

Birthers are FReepers, yet you have just smeared FReeper birthers yet again with this particular attack formulation which you favor. Me pointing out your smear of birthers is not an ad hominem attack on you by me, but a factual assertion based on what you said, which I quoted.

Yes, some birthers have engaged in ad hominem attacks against specific individuals and have also inappropriate broad-brush attacks, just like your own, against “anti-birthers” but two wrongs don't make a right.

I try my best to avoid both ad hominem and broad brush smears.

I’ll go with Cain and West if not Cain and Palin.

RipSawyer will also NOT run for president this year. All my past sins would come back to haunt me because I would run as a conservative. If I ran as a liberal no one would care.

“And what exactly does all that effort get you?

“How about let’s work to vote him out?”

Some of us will be able to multi-task by both working to defeat Obama in 2012 as well as investigate whether it can be proved that he is ineligible to be POTUS.

Trump took a gamble that if Obama couldn't produce a facsimile of a BC Obama could be forced out of office even before 2012. That gamble was deflected by Obama when he produced a BC image.

As I said, whether Trump's gamble to remove Obama ultimately succeeds depends on the forensic examination of the HI LFBC, which has just begun. Many claims have been made that “proof” has been found and some have certainly been debunked, but others haven't. Obama is such a liar (huge chunks of is biography are lies) that each piece of evidence must be authenticated.

What could possibly be more important to constitutional conservatives than authenticating the constitutional eligibility of the CIC? Just saying. Should the claims of a proven liar be given a pass because it is too late or we have other things to do? That is what Obama’s team wants. They are counting on wearing us down with a well-planned multi-layered defensive strategy.

Different FReepers have different talents and those talents can be spread across different activities.

Nobody knew what Obama’s LFBC looked like (or what he would claim it looks like) until he actually showed it. Now that he has shown it, nobody knows whether it is genuine until and unless it is authenticated using the best forensic tools available, hopefully in a court of law.

Voting his ass out of office, for one.

>>Huck not running...Trump not running...this is beginning to look like a very good<<

Now if we could just convince Romney and Newt to drop out, if would truly brighten my day.

No, it isn’t a smear. It’s a generalization. Generally, it’s more true than not. Generally, birthers resort to personal attacks when they fail on the merits of an argument or simply get frustrated by facts.

If you’re offended by that generalization, perhaps you should speak to your group about refraining from such behavior. I’ve defended FR birthers off site. (You can Google it, if you like.) So I don’t feel a bit guilty about calling out the group as a whole for the tendency to make personal attacks.

And what exactly does all that effort get you?

I don't know anyone who has a real crystal ball. Time moves on as will the issue.

How about let’s work to vote him out?

It is a campaign issue that doesn't work for Obama. It's a negative for him no matter how the media spins it. It goes to his credibility or lack of it. I just don't see how incessant lying as a plus for anyone let alone a president, and it all adds up against him when you factor in all the other lying he does on the other issues. So now Obama supports drilling for oil? I say he's lying about drilling for oil just the same as he is lying about his past.

It seems to me that if birthers can no longer accuse people who have contrary opinions of being 0bama supporters, paid plants, etc - there goes ONE THIRD to ONE HALF of their argument by volume - AT LEAST.

True that!

Yes, but the birther issue will NOT, by itself, remove him from office.

It’s a bit late in the game for that.

Possibly it may be useful as a campaign issue.. but that isn’t the mantra that’s been preached here.

“He’s ILLEGITIMATE! Toss Him OUT!”

Ain’t happening. Maybe true but ain’t happening.

The bastard is ripping up the tomato patch and birthers want to quibble over his right to the tiller.

Attaching the likes of Orly Taitz, Andy Martin, Lucas Smith, Donald Trump, Ron Polland, Tim Adams etc. to the conservative agenda only helps Obama. It in no way advances conservatism or serious conservative presidential candidates.

Actually, I’m kind of disappointed that he’s not running. Would have been fun to see the Marxist Douchbag in cheif squirming, choking, and hiccuping all over himself in a debate with Trump.

Just for the Variety Show value of it...
