Sorry, I never understood the point of hunting bears.
No remorse.

Me neither. I've hunted deer, lots of things. Never wanted to hunt bears.
I like to eat what I hunt. Bear never appealed to me.

Sorry, I never understood the point of hunting bears.Should I take up hunting then that won't be for what's a better hunter than I am.

Sorry, I never understood the point of hunting bears. I agree. Bears simply are not prey animals. I can see shooting bears in self defense but that's about what it would take.

and even worse...I don’t get the concept of eating bear. Downright repugnant to me. About as nauseating as eating gorilla or chimp or dog.

It is thrilling, mainly because they can hunt you back. Even large black bears around here can be ornery. I have only hunted them with a .44 handgun and so only ever had two. They can be quite impressive at handshaking distance.

Maybe if you had all kinds of bear around your house, you would. We pretty much shoot every bear we see near people; it keeps them a few miles back in. They are dangerous pests here in Alaska and break in whenever they can, eat dogs on chains, tear up fish racks, and just push their luck.
I have a bear stand with blk bear coming in every night, just luv buttered popcorn. I see 10-12 grizz every summer and they always seem to take off pretty quick; mostly along the road.
I've had friends who had bear hanging around and they got to watching when my friend would come and go, no joke. Broke in his house one day when they were away, They had to shoot the bear inside house, bear wouldn't leave; liked our food.
Too many bear around actually.

Agree. Only in self defense should they be killed or relocated if they become pests...If this guy lives, he might want to stick with fishing.

Ok. Then it is your choice not to hunt them.

The point is the excitement. I have been on a number of bear hunts with my husband in Canada, very exciting. While you are hunting them they could be hunting you. What do you want........ to live forever sitting there at your keyboard?
