No jail for man who threw acid on woman

A Minneapolis man who threw battery acid in his ex-girlfriend's face last year won't spend time behind bars if he remains law-abiding.

Before getting a stayed, 15-month prison sentence Wednesday, Jarso Yohannes Adem, 29, tried to withdraw his guilty plea to second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony.

He claimed he was not aware his conviction could cause him to be deported back to Ethiopia. The Minnesota Court of Appeals this week ordered that a man could withdraw his plea to simple robbery because he was not told of deportation risks.

That’s called being culturally sensitive dontchaknow.
As for your fistfight analogy, one driver assaulted me with his vehicle. Police would not charge since the @$$hole was some executive at a Fortune 500 company, acted like one of the entitled “beautiful people”. I get lectured about the need to “watch my tone”.
Flush Minnesota down the toilet! You can all go to hell, as for me, this year I am moving my business to Texas (to paraphrase Davy Crockett).

along with Miranda warnings, soon we’ll have to warn of what can happen in prison, that you may be deported, and that you may miss a halal meal, and that the Easter Bunny is not real.

the list of warnings will take three days to read and must be read aloud in the suspect’s native tongue as well as recorded in HD video and then submitted to the UN to review at the Hague for proper grammar.

Like most Muslims, this man is a craven coward. Sure, he's pure hell against a smaller woman, or child. who isn't expecting an attack. But, he'll cower and run away from anyone who will dare to stand up against him.

I would think that this woman's Father would use a burning Quoran as an excuse to provoke an 'attack'. That 'attack' would be met with lethal force. I'm pretty certain I would sorely tempted to drastic action, if my daughter had been attacked in this way.
