Hollywood, CA -- Chelsea Handler, the host of the popular late-night television variety show Chelsea Lately, is making waves with recent comments about teen pregnancy, and she has admitted she had an abortion as a teen herself.

There's nothing admirable about this woman, and her show is disgusting.
WTF does that have to do with anything?
Who might be involved in cancer research and on the cusp of a major breakthrough, or involved in energy/combustion research and just discovered a major society changing invention or ...... we'll never know what the dead child of this selfish murderer could have contributed to society.

I don’t agree with her decision, but I do AGREE that the TV show Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant are horrible shows.
My kids watch them, they make me angry.
If you are not aware of them, look them up on google and watch ten minutes (I dare you.) You will want to kill the “Teen Moms” as well. It is unwatchable.

In what way is it “completely different”?
Every vile and wicked thing social conservatives predicted and liberals all denied (accusing conservatives of being delusional) are summed up in little incidents like this one.
At the same time she broke the ice on the lie that all liberals tell, for now anyway, about their true feelings about unborn children. They have no value and are worthy of slaughter to cover someone else's sin.
The modern perverted view of reality embraced and preached by liberals is cruel, callous and dark. As dark as her heart.
Sure. They’re horrible shows, but at least the women/girls featured in them didn’t kill their babies, as Handler did. She is saying that she did the right thing by aborting her baby, and that these women/girls did the wrong thing. Do you understand that?
one of the worst features of Hollywood....it takes women with very severe mental issues (Chelsea Handler, Kathy Griffin, Lady GaGa) and elevates them to hero status.
Should she not be honest about it?
The interview does not move to the next, what I think is obvious questions: “Do you ever think about it, or regret it?”
Kids do stupid things at 16. I had friends at 16 who had abortions. Most of them regret the decision and worked very hard to make sure their kids did not find themselves in that position.
AND, the shows she is speaking of are horrible. Yes, the kids are alive and that is a positive. However, the people are complete, and utter idiots. The situations are painful to watch, and the parents are bigger idiots than the kids.
I tend to like Chelsea’s show. She is, lets say, not puritanical in her lifestyle. But there are funny moments. It is not for everybody. But that is why there are 125 channels.
And a person who would now be 20 never had a life. I wonder if that thought ever crossed her mind? It’s amazing to me when someone like this comes out with such shallow commentary. It would be one thing to have a serious conversation, but this is just.... I don’t know, but it’s childish and immature drivel.
That is exactly what she is NOT saying.
The way that I read this is that she is chastising the shows as glorifying being a teen mom. There are actually young girls who try to get pregnant to be on the show. It is horrible.

I cannot believe that I am defending Chelsea Handler....but here goes:
Without hearing the context of the interview, it sounds like her trying to make a joke.
Clearly a situation that I would not joke about, but sometimes “jokes” like that are defense mechanisms. Bad ones. And usually when you are trying to work the conversation away from a personal or sensitive point.
Her whole schtick is about being a 30-something woman, getting old, all that. In my mind I can hear her saying it in a way that would be a joke.
Personally, not funny. But again, she is on E! for a reason.
