Team Obama helped Hochul
Politico ^ | May 25, 2011 | GLENN THRUSH

President Obama’s grassroots army, Organizing for America, played a significant supporting role in efforts to amp turnout for Kathy Hochul in yesterday’s big special election win, according to Democratic sources.

OFA’s New York chapter – joining other national groups like the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee – manned phone banks and dropped campaign lit, and some even went door-to-door in the heavily Republican upstate district. OFA has helped other candidates and causes (including a controversial effort to ferry protesters to the Wisconsin State House this year), but this was no charity mission.

Tuesday’s win is critical for Obama’s 2012 narrative: That reckless Republicans are intent on wrecking Medicare – and can be stopped if Democrats band together. Just like in ’08.

OFA-NY hosted 22 phone banks in the district and in other parts of the state over the 12 days leading up to Tuesday’s election – logging a total of 23,520 calls since May 12; and about 20 percent of the campaign’s GOTV 77,000 calls – from Thursday to Tuesday –originated from OFA phone banks, according to internal campaign records.

The group also made 3,402 in-person contacts with voters out of a 53,000-contact door-knocking efforts led by local Democrats, unions and Hochul’s own field organizers.

One district. I’d like to know how many their numbers are...and if they have the stamina (and $$$) to keep up this level of frenzy for over a year all across the country.

A fake TP candidate drew away winning votes. We have a lot of educating to do.

Of course if the rat had lost, none of this would have ever been mentioned.

No, a fake Tea Party candidate helped Houchel. Without that Democrat posing as a Tea Party candidate on the ballot, the Republican would have won by 5 points, only 1 point less than the Republican won by in 2010.

Rush is in full throat ed panic . He may go 3 days on this one. The last time the Dems lost a seat upstate the Pubs came back with a 65 seat house win. But in true form the rats lie and the pubs go into hiding to prepare an apology memo . By noon tomorrow the Pub held congress will bring Ryan up on charges. Once again the stupid party will gac this.

Beyond the third-party candidate, the biggest reason for the loss seems to have been turnout—not enough Republicans went to the polls compared to a regular election. The Republican Congressional leadership is not known for its courage and this may have an unfortunate effect on them.

That’s nothing, in the run up to the 2012 election, Barack Hussein Obama M.M.M. will convince church going black Christians that (A) He’s a lifelong Christian, (B) That he is not the most extreme Democrat on the issue of abortion, and (C) that he is not a supporter of the homosexual agenda.

Democrats can’t win with their stance on the issues. They have to lie and find other candidates to pretend to be to the right of their own positions.

exactly. that, and the fact that the last guy left after (something like) a sex scandal. that didn't help.

but it had almost zero to do with the ryan budget.

This was a VERY expensive loss. Corwin(R) herself spent about $2.6 million of her own money to get about 40,000 votes. That comes out to $68/vote. (By contrast, Meg Whitman spent about $144 million out of her own pocket to get about 4 million votes in last year’s governors race in California. That comes out to roughly $35/vote.)

Hochul(D) was surely outspent. $1.2 million to Corwin vs. $824k in outside district money to Hochul.

Outside money: the main spenders for Corwin were $700K from Karl Rove’s American Crossroads, $100K from the American Action Network, and $425K from the NRCC (totaling about $1.2 million).

For Hochul, it wound up as $371K from the House Majority PAC, $111K from the Communications Workers of America, $75K from SEIU 1199, and $267K from the DCCC (totalling $824K). Hochul herself raised around a million bucks.

Back in April, when Corwin seemed like a viable conservative, I sent her $100.

Note to self: NEVER, ever send money to a candidate who spends $68/vote and loses!
(Corwin could have passed out $50 bills to voters and come out ahead.)

This was a big win for Dems only because it was important. Beyond that all it says is that this is what happens when a third party candidate peels off some of the conservative vote. Tea Party and Republican candidates running against each other is a sure way to make sure the Dems win.

That’s what happens when you have an excess of rinos. They retreat if there is a loud sound.

On the other hand, I had no idea there was a special election, and I would imagine most people could care less about this. I only heard about it this week! Besides, it is NY and the GOP seems to be an after thought there.

but it had almost zero to do with the ryan budget.

But the Obama organ grinder monkeys in the media just can't help themselves from spinning this as having to do with the Ryan plan. Of course they produce a couple quotes from a few nitwits who usually vote Republican, but just couldn't this time because of Republicans "wanting to privatize Medicare." Of course the reporter doesn't tell you how many voters they had to talk to and how long they had to stand around polling stations before they got that quote they pre-conceived beforehand they were looking for. And they say next to nothing about this Davis a-hole pretending to be a Tea Partier to drain votes from the GOP candidate, no doubt a tactic birthed at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Voter fraud, Soros money swamping the news media in a small market with messages that lied about Medicare and how it could be fixed. This one should not have been allowed to fall to the Dems.

This is Buffalo. The area that couldn’t take care of its financial problems so the the city went into receivership. There are no major businesses there. What is left are small shells of the past. Trico, Harrison radiator, Bethlehem steel, fisher price, most of the ford stamping plant, Dunlap tire, all the refineries on river road, I can go on forever.
This area has become the Democratic capital of upstate NY. All the Republican conservatives are or have moved south.

Democrats know they can’t win on these issues....2008 Obama duped Black voters into voting for him---- so 2012 Obama needs to convince church going black Christians that (A) he’s a lifelong Christian, (B) he is not the most extreme Democrat on the issue of abortion, and, (C) he is not a supporter of the homosexual agenda.

In 2008, Obama swore he was not for same sex marriage---but he has done everything possible to promote the homo agenda.

We need to get the word out that Obama appointed Kevin Jennings, founder of the pro-homosexual GLSEN organization, "to oversee the nation's safe schools" program. Jennings was involved in the 2000 "Fistgate" scandal in which homosexual adults at a GLSEN youth workshop "guided young teens on how to engage in sexual perversions, including the violent gay practice known as "fisting," (Excerpt) Read more at wnd.com .........

Obama gave Jennings $410 million for his dirty work in the 2011 federal budget ON TOP of $400 million in 2010. Jennings just announced he was leaving the Obama admin (he can retire with riches beyond imagination).

===================================

CIRCA 2009 A coalition of Christian organizations launched an effort to have him removed, asserting that Kevin Jennings is one of the most vitriolic anti-Christian activists in America. Jennings is known for his prolific use of obscenities to describe Christians. Jenning will apparently advance Barack Obama's anti-Christian homosexual agenda.

The shocking Jennings appointment is another flagrant example of Obama saying one thing and doing another---and flaunting it, as well. Candidate Obama catered to Black Churchgoers who voted for him thinking he would uphold their strong views against same-sex marriage. Obama ran on a platform against same sex marriage and has given the impression that, as president, he will do nothing to advance same sex marriage.

This calculated move serves to make Black Churchgoers complacent while giving Obama leeway to advance the homosexualist agenda in other ways.

===========================================

OCTOBER 2009 President Obama received a warm welcome at the annual dinner of the homosexual support group Human Rights Campaign, promising to sign hate crimes legislation, to repeal both "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and the "Defense of Marriage Act." and to continue supporting his besieged appointments as "safe schools czar" and head of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

WND revelations about Kevin Jennings, the safe schools czar, and Chai Feldblum, his EEOC nominee, have resulted in criticism in Congress and from group's concerned about past actions and statements.

53 members of Congress demanded that Obama dismiss Jennings following WND disclosures about his past, including an incident in which he counseled a 15-year-old student to keep quiet about being seduced by an older man. WND disclosures that Feldblum proclaimed "gay sex is morally good" have also made her a target for criticism.

"I'm here with a simple message: I'm here with you in that fight," Obama told the homosexual activist group. "For even as we face extraordinary challenges as a nation, we cannot and we will not put aside issues of basic equality. I greatly appreciate the support I've received from many in this room. I also appreciate that many of you don't believe that progress has come fast enough. I want to be honest about that. Because it's important to be honest amongst friends."

Obama made a direct reference to his besieged appointees without naming them. "Nobody in America should be fired because they're gay, despite doing a great job and meeting their responsibilities," he said. "It's not fair, it's not right, we're going to put a stop to it. Read more at wnd.com

"Voters, Obama is baptized in the fire of faith."
"Obama's been saved. Thank you, Jesus."
"Voters, let's hear an Alleluia and an Amen."

Also watch Obama keep channeling Reagan (the man he invoked to dupe 2008 voters). Like Reagan, Obama's moved the country decidedly to the right. But Ohaha did it by blanketing voters with his destructive anti-America liberal policies.

Obama's Organizing for America volunteers helped a Democrat pull off a huge win (see details above).

THE BIG QUESTION: Is Ohaha going to arm Organizing for America volunteers? Candidate Obama promised that when he was elected, he would “fundamentally transform America.” Voters naïvely thought that meant ending corruption, back-room deals, partisan bickering, and the arrogance that infects Washington politicians. It is clear now that what Obama meant was transforming our democratic Republic ...he brought his Chicago hit squad to Washington to twist arms and pull fingernails, when necessary, to gain control over his domain.

HOW IT WILL GO DOWN “Obama and Biden will call on citizens of all ages to serve. We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded”.

Obama is simply implementing "The Plan"
(from COS Rahm Emanuel's book "The Plan, Big Ideas for America")

FR Posted August 17, 2009 by HollyB

Rahm Emanuel's book's main points.

1. Page 160 New Domestic Defense Division

=======================================

Rahm says: “It should include top security talent from the CIA, the FBI, and the ranks of state and local law enforcement.

Obama says: The civilian task force would be drawn from those with relevant experience probably from agencies such as the FBI, CIA, and the Pentagon.”

====================================================

Page 58 Citizen service. Rahm says: “Every citizen needs to understand and accept the essence of the American bargain: Each of us has to do his or her part. While the rights of citizenship are explicit in our Constitution, the implicit responsibilities are every bit as crucial. All Americans between ages of 18-25 will be asked to serve their country by going through 3 months of basic training, civil defense preparation, and community service.”

==================================================

Rahm's Citizen Service : “The nation will enlist them for 3 months of civilian service. They’ll be asked to report for basic civil defense training in their state or community.”

Obama's Citizen Service: "We will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year.”

College kids recruited to join Obama's 'army'

FR posted by RobinMasters

President Obama's army of citizen volunteers is now actively recruiting college students in states across the country to "build support for President Obama's agenda" – and earn college credit while advocating for "change."

Obama for America, Obama's 2008 political campaign, merged with the Democratic National Committee in January and is now known as Organizing for America, or OFA.

The movement some call "Obama 2.0" is now recruiting students and offering to provide credits toward degree plans in exchange for their advocacy skills. A message from OFA national volunteer coordinators announcing the recruitment campaign and internship opportunities has been posted on several websites and on Facebook.

"Students and young people were critical in building the movement that helped elect President Obama last year. By becoming a National Organizing Intern, you'll be part of the grassroots effort to make the change we fought for a reality in 2009 and beyond," it states. "As an Organizing Intern, you'll work side by side with OFA staff and community leaders to help build support for President Obama's agenda. You'll learn core organizing principles that are crucial for any campaign and play an important role in building our organization in your state." (Excerpt) Read more at wnd.com ...

WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THAT BEFORE? Obama and the WH Chicago Boys are engaged in increasing their executive branch authority. The phrase "to gain executive branch authority" was first heard about 70 years ago, part of a package called "The Enabling Acts"......although it was written in German. The Enabling Acts granted "the executive" the authority to write new laws and change old laws without oversight.
