A 54-year-old Missouri woman has died after suffering a heart attack when told of her father's death in the Joplin tornado.

The grieving woman collapsed after being told that her father was among the dead after the tornado hit.

Newton County Coroner Mark Bridges said the woman who died on Tuesday didn't immediately learn of her father's death in the historic storm that has killed more than 120 people.

I was watching Fox News and the Tornado Chasers. I kept wondering how is it there is no debris on the highways? Look at all the cars on the road in this picture.

Perhaps because the roads were the first places to be cleared - to make way for emergency vehicles to get through.

I'm not there, so I don't know for sure; I'm just speculating.

A friend's mother had her home destroyed around her in Joplin ... just across the street from the high school (which is the red brick building at about two o'clock in the background of your pic).

She posted some pics of what's left of her mom's house. The thing is just gone. There were trees stripped bare with metal embedded in or wrapped around them. Incredible destruction. And yet the contents of the china cabinet were mostly unbroken.
