Additionally, the Republican Party isn't what it used to be; the lines between it and the democRAT party have long been blurred. So saying someone is a 'Republican in name only' doesn't have the intended implication as it used to wherein saying someone is a 'progressive Republican does convey the intended disparagement. I like it!

I agree. I’ve never much liked the term republican in name only, because it implies that the cowardly, socialism-lite antics of the gop is anything other than business as usual.
