The only question I have is: Who is voicing any of these views here? I haven’t seen a Romney, Guiliani or Huckster booster here since 2008...and few even then. There’s a legion of Palin followers here and a smattering of Herman Cain fans. Beyond that, I haven’t seen any candidate boosterism whatsoever. Nor have a seen any agitation for homosexual (I don’t use the term “gay”) rights or abortion. So I’m wondering who this is directed at.

You must not read many of the threads, I see them a lot, and countless times since 2008, I have also seen dozens of zots because of them, including some yesterday.

Many of the most hard core have switched from pushing their candidate to clearing the field for him, mostly by trolling against Palin, many of them simply went dormant since 2008, waiting for the proper time this cycle to re energize their accounts.

The issue here is whether you agree with the Supreme Court when they issue an unconstitutional ruling -- not how it can or should be argued in an appeal. Wake up genius.

Here is a post to me from yesterday labeling me a “jerk”, “clueless” and a “rat operative” for opposing Mitt Romney.

>”Romney may have been a one term governor of MA. The fact he was a one term governor of that state speaks volumes ... this piss ant state of low life ‘Rats (i.e., Barney Frank)couldn’t handle it. Romney went on to head up the SLC (Utah) Olympics ... the venue was falling apart and they needed strong leadership ... Romney was hired to bail them out and he did a superb job. Olympic committee’s to this day are using the Romney formula. Romney without question is the most qualified candidate the pubbies have for the presidential slate ... all you jerks bad mouthing Romney are clueless ... or worse yet ‘rat operatives.”<

Whats yours ???

If you know anything about the 1st Civil War or the American Revolution

You know that a lot depended on where the people lived and what was happening in their neck of the woods and not who they were

brother fought brother and cousin fought cousin just like the civil war of 1861-65

There was no common theme for families

Nor any prior political philosophies

1/3 of the country were Rebels/Patriots, 1/3 Loyalists and 1.3 couldny care less or were not effected

My direct ancestors were loyalists who fled north to Canada but only because the were imprisoned - old grandmothers tiny children - their houses were burned and their farms were confiscated

The men began fighting to get their lands back but they failed and they never were compensated..

Their brothers and cousins living elsewhere were not molested and were Rebels

George Washington even stayed in the house of one of them

As I said it is unfair to demand someone tell you whiuch swide they would have fought on

Given a situation where some local rebels came to your house in the middle of the night and burnt your house and killed your children would you have joined them ???

in one of the houses burned an invalid man couldnt walk to escape the flames

The Rebels wouldnt let his family go back in and rescue him

his 62 yo Mom was put in prison She was the widow of a hero of the Battle of Lake George

Her teenage daughter was raped there and died

Would you have joined her murderers ??

(Disclaimer: these rapist/murderers were not representative of all rebels but in war enemy women are not always treated kindly)

Other than loyalty to England because of the help they had received as religious refugees both of these families owed nothing to the country

They had all been born in America and their own hands backs hard work and expertise had earned them their lands and houses

However the ill treatment from their fellow Americans and neighbors (in coveting their property) caused them to reject that “side” and seek elsewhere for empathetic friends

Kid, nobody knows what they would have done in that time and circumstance

One can only guess

Indeed. The most effective way to neuter opposition is to make them comfy, relaxed.

Kid? You post to me two snotty posts and the third is a lecture. No debate. No comments on content. Just snark.

And yes I know about both wars and my family that fought in both.

Have a great evening.

No. It's not. Not if one wants to be taken seriously.

They know the chess board. A Rino is not an option. Read Jim's post again. We fight back or we lose.

We were speaking of the American Revolution

As for the current election cycle

I never voted for Williard Mitt Romney and never will

I started warning people right after the 1st or 2nd debate in 2008

Until then I didnt know anything about him

However several of the FReepers who this time apear to be the loudest mouths against Romney, back then condemned me as a bigot and other nasty things saying he was a Conservative and I had “gone over to the dark side”

I posted reams of Youtube and other links to what he had said in the past and currently and his actions and voting record that proved him to be a flaming liberal

Ive been beaten up in these threads in the past for my stand against the liberal Romney

It continues even now from the RomneyBots still here

as for you

I’m glad you have decided to join us this time

I don't know why it's so hard to understand. There is no functional appeal to a Supreme Court decision. It makes little difference if they are in error or not, their decision is the law of the land. Not what Trisham thinks or what Prokopton thinks or what anyone else thinks. Millions of people think their decision of Roe v. Wade was wrong, but still millions of babies die every year.

I think you are missing the forest for the trees. The Supreme law of the land is God e.g. inalienable rights all are endowed with. One can not belly up to the bar and acknowledge God given unalienable rights without as well acknowledging God and God given truths that premise such rights.

As such, the Supreme Court is simple an equal branch of a government UNDER God. The Supremes are just as limited as the other two branches and only operate under the powers granted them by the people. The Supremes rulings are therefore not supreme.
