Petrina Herman was Gov Palin's Harley Driver.

Thank You again. I knew that could not be Willow, but if it was, then that little girl had done some awesome up-growing.

Petrina also had the phrase Lady P on the side of her helmet, and let there be no doubt, one huge rock of a wedding ring on her finger. What a sight! The message was also - Not a Dyke Biker!

Another possible statement that was made was that POTUS Palin will bring us some very new and very capable people, ones that we have never heard about, but, unlike the current administration, can get the job done.

Also, I suspect Sarah won the vote of many strong women when they noticed yesterday that Sarah was willing to put her image into the hands of a very competent, very strong woman.

Let's just say, the age of Deborah is upon us.

LOL, it's not him that is getting all worked up about it.

He brings out an important point, something to be aware the media might jump on.

And several posters all all over him for bringing it up.

It's usually the small, overlooked things that the media blows all out of porportion.

It seems like Palin has dozens of "advisers" here at FR, most of whom unfortunately are not very good at it.

It's not good to fight amoung ourselves over every little thing.

No need to chastise me for expressing my opinion, Syncro. I like and even admire Joe 6-Pack. I do have to say that I really understand why he is the Pingmaster for the Doggie news list because he hung on to and defended his admonition to Sarah like the proverbial dog with a bone.

So, have the awesome, formidable, mighty, terrifying "MSM" and their associates in the "entertainment" industry plastered the "shameful" photo of Sarah and Rolling Thunder's "Dictator" all over their television screens, newspapers and web pages yet?

As for the photo being "posed", it wasn't as if they spent two minutes pondered the positioning of those being photographed. Look at the raw video of Sarah's arrival with Rolling Thunder HERE and see what the atmosphere was like. It was hot, crowded and smelled of Harley. ;-)

Should "Sarah's people" have asked that The Dictator (aka National Executive Director of Rolling Thunder, Artie Muller) stay at least 20 feet from her at all times? That's more like what Hillary! or Zero would have done. (Of course, neither of them would have been there with "those people" in the first place.) The fact that Sarah Palin is a dauntless leader is one of the reasons she is held in such high regard. (Why do you think Donald Trump I DON'T TRUST HIM was such a hit for a couple of weeks recently?)

The clever combatant imposes his will on the enemy, but does not allow the enemy's will to be imposed on him. - Sun Tzu

The guy is the National Executive Director of Rolling Thunder. Hence the Dictator patch. Bike clubs use nomenclatures like this to signify standing. I’ll defend him anytime.

I think you misunderstood me. Why should Palin defend what a full grown man wears? She’s not his Mommy. It’s outrageous to even think she’d have to say ANYTHING about the gentleman’s patches. It’s HIS nickname! It has NOTHING to do with Palin.

Didn't call a particular poster squeamish, was talking about people in general.

No problem, I didn't think you did. I just mentioned how it was not helpful or accurate, getting personal in that way. It kind of takes away from reasoned discourse imo.

...the MSM will twist, distort...Get used to that fact.

Har, thanks for the "advice." I figured that out back in the 80's.

Sarah did nothing wrong today, the MSM tried to twist...

Right on both counts.

The Idea of she shouldn't have done certain totally innocent and normal things today because the MSM could possibly lie about them is ludicrous as a strategy.

How true. I wouldn't change a thing she did.

Well gosh I was responding to another poster who's post showed a lack of comprehension in his reply to me.

There was a lot more than just the statement you posted that I was referring to.

...there was a cult of personality that grew up around him (Karl Rove, Magnificent Bastard),kind of like I'm seeing here. Nobody dared to level any criticism lest they become the target of invective and personal attacks.

...Oh my Joe, you are going to the dark side a little with that pronouncement, a bit pissantian if I may say so.

Most of the criticizm is tempered with facts in an effort to inform those who don't get it.

It is and was those PDSers that were mostly responsible for the invective and personal attacks.

When it got too distracting to the purpose and direction of Free Republic, several of them had to be farewelled.

Most Americans are more conservative than they realize, even if they don't identify themselves as such.

Thousands, and I dare say probably millions, of them have awakened to their conservative side in the last two years.

I noticed that when I embarked on my journey of attending hundreds of tea parties across this great land.

I asked dozens of people at each one (starting in early 2009) if they had ever been to a rally, or been involved in political activism, and almost all that I asked said no.

The TPM has inspired middle America to realize that it is up to them, We The People, to come out at all costs and speak up for our Great Country and the Constitution.

To win them, Sarah has to awaken in them the realization of how conservative they actually are, and how much closer she and her views are to theirs.

She's been doing a good job of that as I have observed when she immediately knew the importance of the Tea Party Movement the moment it hit the scene. And she became a permanent enthusiastic supporter of it as it paralleled her take of what needs to be done to bring back our country to it's Constitutional Republic status.

Sarah does a good job of raising the conscience of middle America

You got that right Joe.

But maybe you should have stopped there....heh.

Joe, don't worry about "careless photos/video and comments", I do think she has a handle on that.

It's sometimes better to be in control and let things like that out, and not censor them.

(Of course if they come from her camp, such as the Monsour debacle, she needs to get right on it as she did in that case.)

It gives her the opportunity to have a leg up on the Media spin imo.

IMHO, Colonel West can do no wrong....from saving the lives of his men at the risk of his career by causing a terrorist to s..t in his pants, to running against Kleinian Socialism twice and taking that seat for us, to remaining steadfastly true to his principles, I would gladly support and vote for a ticket led by the Divine Sarah with the Colonel as second in command or the other way around for that matter.

I’m glad you weren’t being a “downer” and hope you’re enjoying a safe and memorable holiday.

LOL...you do realize there were a couple times I went after pissant pretty aggresively for his criticism of Sarah, right?

The cult of personality I was referring to has absolutely nothing to do with Sarah, but some of her followers. I'm pretty firm in my convictions and politics, so it's really no sweat of my back, but all I did here was voice an opinion on a photo, and suggest/observe that she and her staff may wish to be tighten that up a little. Many of her dyed in the wool supporters here took that as a personal attack, and jumped all over me for it.

There are a lot of people out there who fence sit, and don't follow politics closely. They won't start looking and deciding until late next summer. They will raise issues and doubts planted by the MSM. Will the die hard supporters attack them too, simply for repeating something they heard, or a doubt they express or will they try to win them over? The evidence on this thread suggests to me that any comment that is anything less than flattering toward Sarah is going to be met harshly by her staunchest supporters. That's going to be counter-productive, and that's something I'd hate to see.

I say this because of numbers of otherwise conservative leaning people I've spoken to since 2008 and in the wake of the founding of the Tea Party. The media has successfully planted doubts and misrepresentations about SP in their minds. Personally, I've tried to debunk them and defend Sarah, but I get the feeling here, that there are more than a few followers whose 'in-your-face' advocacy are going to turn a lot of people off who might have otherwise been persuaded.
