The reports say Rep. Weiner was “following” several young women on Twitter, which, as I understand it, means the young women were Tweeting.
i cannot speak to the young woman in question bc i don’t know her name or anything about her. i am telling you that it’s possible to be active on Twitter and to reveal zip zero nada about yourself or your daily life. I retweet DraftMarcoRubio tweets all the time, as well as Ken Cuccinelli’s etc.
The women were likely tweeting. However, “following” an account on Twitter is just a mechanism to monitor whatever tweets are sent from the account. You can follow an account that doesn’t post any tweets.
