Was it a flash mob that forced the closure of North Avenue beach on Memorial Day?
Chicago Police News Affairs released a statement saying they had to close the beach for safety reasons, as people were suffering heat exhaustion and emergency vehicles couldn't get through to help. But, WLS listeners say there was what they called a "large gangbanger element" at the Oak Street and North Avenue beaches.

Listeners report being at the beach, and seeing dozens of gang bangers pushing people off their bikes. Another listener says those causing havoc were not dressed for the beach and looked like "bad elements."
Webster's dictionary defines a flash mob as a group of people summoned (as by e-mail or text message) to a designated location at a specified time to perform an indicated action before dispersing. Flash mobs also can be organized via social media sites. But recently in Chicago, flash mobs have gathered along Michigan Avenue to do anything but entertain.
In January, groups of teens assembled along Michigan Avenue and shoplifted at three separate stores. Eleven teens ranging in age from 14 to 17 were arrested.
Chicago Police are denying that a flash mob intent on causing havoc forced the closure of the North Avenue beach on Memorial Day Monday.
But yet, in 1980, was elected what would become the “great communicator”, a special era indeed.

While I share your hope, I don't see it happening in my lifetime (I'm 61). For the better part of the 20th century and all so far of this century, race has been used as a tactic by Democrats and liberals/Marxists to attain power. It is how Obama got elected. But those merchants on Michigan Avenue are not amused and Rahm WILL pay attention to them if he wants to have more than one term. The Chicago PD was Daley's whipping boy for the last couple decades btw. I don't believe the Police Union endorsed him for the last couple of elections.
Now they're ripping the overweight donut munching desk cops who haven't walked a beat in years out of their offices and tossing them out on the streets to deal with this crap. That should work out well.
One of the beat sergeants pulled his people away from this mess because they were outnumbered something like a hundred to one. Order wasn't restored until the mounted units came in apparently. It's going to be a long, hot summer in Chi-town.

Detroit, 1967 began after a police raid on an illegal bar.
Newark, 1967 began after a cab driver was arrested.
It is my considered opinion - having live through that period of time and following the news of the day closely - that the mobs/looters all did what they did because they thought they would suffer no consequences. “Hey!! Free stuff!! All we got to do is take it!!”
The authorities were too timid in snuffing out the mob violence early on. Once the mob got the upper hand, then the National Guard was called in.

The people of the city of Chicago, the politicians, the lawyers (money grubbing scum) and the MB (code for make believe)Reverends, have OK'd the prosecution of police officers for that sort of behavior. The politicians take tax payer money and give it to these same animals and say that it's cheaper to pay what they call a "nuisance suit" than to fight them. Now these mutts, that have never and will never work a day in their lives, that have never paid a dime in taxes, now know that all they have to do is call "Lovey and Lovey" and sue the city and the police officer and get $10,000 or so. That may not seem like a lot of money to you, but think about it, you don't pay for food, housing, medical, utilities and you sling dope on the corner and pull in $500.00 to $1,000.00 a day tax free and then screw the police officer and his family out of anything Lovey gets his hands on.

The “Civil Rights Act” was one of the most destructive pieces of legislation ever enacted in America.
What the Civil Rights Act did was to create “protected groups” which, under the guise of such protections, were effectively relieved of acting “like the rest of us”.
The CRA did not promulgate “equal rights”. Quite the contrary, it DESTROYED the cherished concept of everyone being “equal before the law”. The “law” itself sought to establish INEQUALITY, again, by protecting certain groups of individuals and affirmatively diminishing the rights of others.
The Republicans, ever “the stupid party”, refused to see such truths and championed the bill in Congress, when, in actuality, the southern democrats who opposed it were right, having learned from real-life experience.
In a reborn America, there should be NO laws purporting to establish “civil rights” for anybody or for any group.
ANY law or policy that purports to “promote rights” is, in reality, designed to TAKE AWAY such rights from someone. Just as “hate speech” laws are intended to restrict speech.
Free peoples have no need for such things.

Conservatives are people who live off their own efforts and through their taxes support hordes of others who mean them only ill. That is the bane of a prosperous middle class society that has grown rich through the free market and general liberty. It becomes too rich for its own good and ends up supporting large numbers of non producing academics and a whole class of people who live off the fruits of the market but have no sympathy for the system that made them rich. I refer to the academics, government employees, and the progeny of wealthy entrepreneurs and managers who need not do productive work during and after University as well as the increasing hordes of welfare parasites. The one group, seeing no connection of productive work with their estate dream up great utopias and use their daddys' wealth and their own idle time to impose those schemes. The Welfarites provide bodies for intimidation of the ones gainfully engaged and subjects for "pity" and the confiscation of yet more money from the productive segment.
We have crossed a "tipping point," I think, where there are as many not paying the major tax as there are those who do. That includes a part of the wealthy whose wealth is largely protected and immune to taxation. That is a near majority of the population whose immediate interest is in more government expenditure and higher taxes in order to support them in idleness. It only takes a small portion of soft headed entrepreneurs and working people to tip the balance to the irrecoverable downside. Or it will take one more income tax cut. Income tax cuts are always accompanied by removing yet more people from the tax rolls and converting that many more people to the tax consuming class who vote for higher rates and more spending.

Well, my interpretation is the shootings are not to settle scores. One boy was a 13-year old for crying out loud. Rather, it's part of "Get in their faces!" Exhorted about the 0b0z0 who's a product of Communist ghetto upbringing.
It's gonna turn real ugly when they start "yutsing" around like France and with Eric H0lder not enforcing the law, who needs the law?
It looks that the citizens will eventually take the law in their own hands to defend themselves.
If that happens, all bets are off. Look for the regime to protect themselves from defeat anyway they could.
