She probably has been reading every top policy adviser's written account on the subject.

Probably being the key word. Right now, we do not know and she is not coming across as having done so.

My hope is that she runs for the Senate in Az. and uses that has a stepping stone. She is certainly young enough to serve two terms in the Senate and still run for President in the future.

No. 2012 is different from any other election in our history. That year will be recorded as the year that patriotic Americans turned back the tide of socialism or as the year that America died as a free country. I'm not overstating the risk, and in fact I may not be putting enough emphasis on it. We need Sarah or one of the other top-tier patriotic conservatives in 2012 and not just in the indefinite future.

She is readying herself. Why do you doubt? Does she really strike you as one who is not preparing? She learned a valuable lesson in the McShit’s campaign and that is: Keep you cards close to your chest. Please...she’s ready.

Timing is everything. Newt's time has come and gone. Hillary Clinton's time has come and gone. If Palin is to seek the Presidency, here time is now - not eight or 14 years from now. Besides, I am not sure the Senate prepares anyone for the Presidency.

Move from Alaska to Arizona, and run for Senate from there...?

The "carpet-bagger" complaint damned near stuck to Hillary! when she did that in New York; and when Alan Keyes tried that in Illinois, he ended up losing his Senate race to none other than Barack Obama.

To run for Senate from AZ would be political suicide; and she'd deserve every bit of criticism she got for doing so. She's a smart enough politician to understand that a run for Senate would have to be made from Alaska.

And besides, Palin's current political trajectory couldn't survive anything other than a run for president.

People advance that idea as a means to marginalize Sarah Palin. There is no useful experience to be gained by a presidential hopefull by serving in the Senate, and a stint there only serves to build up an attackible voting record as the cross-games of the legislative process moves along.

Suggesting a former Governor use the Senate as a stepping stone????? LOLOLOLOl

Presidents usually remark that there is nothing that can prepare you for the awesome responsibilities shouldered when you assume the Office of POTUS.

Having good, knowlegible, and trustworthy advisors with the good judgement to filter through their advice to get to the meat of a solution is the best attribute a President can have. Reagan had it, I suspect Sarah does too. The way she has conducted the One Nation Tour is proof of a loyal and trustworthy staff. There is no doubt that she “can pick’em.”
