Sarah Palin To Take Bus Tour to NH As Mitt Romney Makes Bid for President In State [Polls]
NYDAILY NEWS ^ | June 2nd 2011, 8:34 AM | Aliyah Shahid

Let's get ready to rumble.

A GOP heavyweight fight could erupt Thursday as Sarah Palin's "One Nation" bus tour will almost certainly coincide with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's highly publicized announcement that he'll run for president.

Palin is set to make an appearance in Bean Town on Thursday, around the same time Romney officially launches his campaign at a barbecue and town-hall meeting in nearby New Hampshire.

The ex-Alaska governor will then follow in Romney's footsteps at a New Hampshire clambake.

It's leaving some to speculate that Palin's move could be intentional.

"She will certainly be in New Hampshire to rain on Mitt's parade," Massachusetts GOP spokesman Tim Buckley wrote in an email obtained by the Boston Herald.

"He's going to have a hard time grabbing the spotlight," said MSNBC's Chuck Todd on the "Today Show," adding Palin has a reputation for not following the rules. "It's a bit of a slap in Mitt Romney's face."

Note: As you may recall in 2008, the New York Daily News Hired a Fake Sarah Palin To Walk the New York Streets, and reported:
"Sarah Palin knocked 'em dead on the streets of New York Monday - and she wasn't even here yet."
Now the media is reporting Palin is having Pizza with Trump-the Trump-Palin Pizza Summit.

Other Palin/Romney Headlines:

FoxNews:

Palin Poaches Mitt's Moment

Romney Launches Bid in the Midst of Palinpalooza

Spectator.co.uk:
Whether she runs or not, Palin won't be President[poll]

According to Gallup, around 95 per cent of Republican voters recognise Sarah Palin, while Romney is on 85 per cent.
This makes Palin's 14 per cent in the polls somewhat less impressive: one-in-seven of those who have heard of her have her as their first choice.
For Romney it's one-in-five, while for Cain it's more than one-in-four:

All The Press is overwhelmingly focusing Palin's way, the candidate said most wanted by the Obama Machine to run against in 2012.

How will any of the other GOP hopefuls pose a serious threat to Obama in 2012, if they cannot come near the the same Palinpalooza free media headlines and coverage Palin is getting?

Perhaps they could learn a trick or two from Palin and not remain political wall flowers [the press cannot sell "boring" news] while supporters whine over their lack of press.

Palin follows her own instincts and has learned not to follow outside political advisors - having "been there done that" in the McCain camp where it was reported she was called a "diva" and had "ruffled feathers". Even " The Perky One", Couric, [where is she now ?] was said to have fooled her once, perhaps early on a good media lesson. But Palin won't allow herself to be fooled twice. Now, it appears Palin is leading around the press by their nose rings.

Palin and Trump seem to know just how to play this game.

Romney is announcing at Scamman Farm in Stratham. It’s directly on Route 108, which is a pretty popular route/highway on the Seacoast. The farm is wide open and has clear view of road (from/to).

It wouldn’t be inconceivable for Sarah’s bus to drive by as she’s in that area (on Seacoast). What a hoot that would be.

The more attention Sarah can draw AWAY from Mitt, the better...

Even if she doesn’t run, she’s doing us a great service by taking media attention off the RINOs. Herman Cain is however getting attention which is interesting.

I have not heard one person supporting Newt or Romney! RINO’s need not bother. Newt sucked up to Pelosi one too many times and Romney had his garbage healthcare around his neck.

RINO’s need not waste our time. Newt likes to smile at the cameras and pretend he’s everyone’s friend including RATs. Romney needn’t bother either. Romney is delusional if he thinks Conservatives want his moderate brand of politics and his RINO views on anything. Who can forget his Obama-style RomneyCare??

Spineless, gutless supposed Republicans need not apply. We better find a George Patton-style leader or we’re TOAST.

I agree with you and live in the Northeast. Just that Romney and Obama have the most money. However, Palin may be a poor silly church mouse in their eyes, but she is leading the press whether one is for her or not.

However, Romney could take votes from Obama behind the closed curtain of the voting booth from the disenfranchised, discouraged, unemployed Obama voters. They see more of a business friendly environment with Romney with possibility of faster job creation. The mandated Health care part, seen as good or bad, the Obama followers would like to see that cleaned up and coherent under Romney and then would toss Obama under "the bus".

The Howie Carr show WRKO, Boston would have the best ongoing coverage on this story plus Palin in the Northeast with their call ins.

The kickoff of the campaign will be Thursday [today] at an afternoon barbecue in Stratham, N.H. It will be held at the Bittersweet Farm, operated by Republicans Doug and Stella Scamman. The menu is expected to consist of hot dogs, hamburgers, and chili made from Ann Romney’s special recipe.

chili made from Ann Romney’s special recipe

Why do I suspect that Romney has behind-the-scenes chili consultants on his payroll?

So you may have to settle for the worst of two evils, as they say. Obama or Romney, put in the context of the above message to you.

Who is the one most likely to take votes from Obama. Then we go from there. And I know how you are going to respond ;)

That’s life in the real world of politics..like it or lose it...............

Stereotyping is entirely unfair, but the whitebread Mormon wife isn’t usually whom you go to for a chili recipe.

I have no doubt that Palin will arrange it so that her bus drives right by to step all over Romney’s announce.

What you have in this campaign for the GOP Presidential nomination is rather simple: Greg Marmalarde vs. the Deltas, with the Palin Campaign playing the Delta House.

Best,

Chris

Romney’s gig starts at 1230.

I might head over there just to see if Palin drives by.
It’s only 10 minutes away

I doubt that the GOP will nominate Romney RINO to take on Ovomit. We’re not that deaf, dumb, and blind yet. The Tea Party won’t support Romney for the nomination, IMO. His dirt will be exposed before then.

Only spineless, gutless defeatists would settle for a RINO for the GOP nomination. Who out there thinks Romney is the only answer?

There are a lot of Tea Party Freepers who would gag on Romney!
