Glenn Beck’s Last Day On Fox Slated for June 30 By Alex Weprin on June 2, 2011 10:58 AM

Fox News host Glenn Beck‘s last day at the channel is currently slated for June 30, according to Mediaite. As we reported yesterday, Beck had a rough month ratings-wise in May, slipping -17% in total viewers and -33% in the adults 25-54 demo compared to last year. That said, he still handily topped his competition on CNN and MSNBC.

As TVNewser first reported last week, Beck is planning to launch a web-based TV network called GBTV after he leaves FNC. No launch window has been given for the new service, but as we reported at the time former FNC executive Joel Cheatwood is already developing programming for it.

FNC has not named a permanent replacement for Beck, though one name that we have heard in conversations is Megyn Kelly, who went on maternity leave after having her second child earlier this year.

Yeah, but he hasn’t been funny since Clinton left office. (I really miss the “Jocelyn Elders moments.” Those were hilarious. And, as you can see, I HAVE been a listener.)

I can get my information elsewhere, and, since I don’t need exterior validation for my own beliefs, he’s just more noise in my life.

Also, until he explains why he had illegal Viagra with him on a trip to the Dominican Republic...I’ve got my doubts. I’ll forgive him abusing painkillers—that can happen to anyone—but the Viagra thing was a tetchy deal for a single “Christian” man. You know?

Also, his ratings are down 30% since last year, when they were down 12% from the year before. My local station has dropped him in favor of Clark Howard, who I will listen to.

"His assessments and predictions are correct ... but ... it’s hard to listen to him"

Always been my take on it too.

“The problem is he thinks he can stop Armageddon. It’s coming and nobody can stop it. He should say two things...
It’s almost here and you need to prepare.”

You are right and he kind of did that about at week ago. He had a bunch of food sitting out on a table and he devoted the first few minutes of the show to preparing. Of course Beck is very careful about what he says and I guess I don’t blame him.

Something wicked this way comes and you will not hear it on TV. We figured that out about 2 years ago and have taken appropriate steps.

GB had one of the best programs on TV. I know of none better. It was informative and accurate. I personally did some of the homework he suggested and found him right on. At times his presentations were over the top, but always a learning experience. The one thing I appreciate is his passion for our country. He willingly accepted the unpopular role of a messenger of possible evil times ahead. I do admire him, and thank him for his service to the country in what he is doing. We need more of him or like persons with his love to teach about history and our current pathetic path, not less.

Best on TV and he will be sorely missed.

As for looney? I can count on one hand the number of his shows that I didn’t watch.

I’ve been both watching some guy at youtube who posts 40 minute clips of the current Glenn Beck Fox News tv show and I joined Beck’s insider extreme which has really nice condensed clips of his radio program in mp3, like Limbaugh’s site. Sounds much much better. The website radio podcasts take out commercials and promos and news updates and music. The youtube video is well put together. Then on insider extreme they have good videos including some documentaries and they also have cams and the S.E. Cupp Show. Much better than I expected. Now he will roll out a tv feed, but it has its own site like the Blaze.

Even super-high ratings cannot protect a commentator who dares to expose George Soros.

Watching his shows doesn’t make him NOT looney. It just means you’ve watched a lot of his shows. Watch your reasoning.

And I point out that I haven’t seen his show since we killed cable. I’ll admit he was interesting, then, though the religious blather he wove in out of his narrative got old pretty quickly.

Still, he was a lot of fun, and the videos he used to back up his arguments were illuminating.

Well, I hope his new channel is included in basic cable because I’m not going to pay another dime to Comcast.

Unlike Bill “I’m lookin out for the folks (that agree with me)” OReilly, Beck has always said not to take his word for anything.

His assessments and predictions are correct ... but ... it’s hard to listen to him ... so ... few do.

His assessments are often correct, but his insistence on peaceful solutions are inconsistent, naive, and perhaps cowardly.

IMHO, Beck was very informative on current events, but when he talked about religion, I ran for the dial.

I don’t like being preached to by someone who believes the Garden of Eden was in Missouri, that Jesus and Satan are brothers, and that people can be gods.

Was he really getting as looney a people say? We killed cable here in our house almost a year ago, and the last time I saw him, he was going on about Soros like people used to talk about David Rockefeller back in the Seventies—eeeevillll incarnate.

Heaven forbid!

Megyn Kelly?

Good grief!

Speaking for myself, I am so sick and tired of all those bleached blonds with the same hairdos and extra tight very low-cut bodices which would get them a big pinch in the ass if they walked around in them in public. Those extra tight bodices are what are cutting the blood flow to their little very tiny brains.

how much of that decline is related to the weather. warm weather = people spending time outside at that time of day instead of watching tv. also wonder how much of the decline is caused by people knowing beck is leaving so they just stopped watching and investing their time in something that is going away soon.

Ah. I last heard he was in Long Island and went and did the show from WABC studios. Guess he moved.

Remember, Limbaugh was a total failure on television.

In Houston, Rush's show didn't come on until 11:30 pm.. and, it STILL had more viewers than anything else that came on after the late news.

My reasoning is just fine, thankyouverymuch. I gave you my opinion. Glenn Beck is not looney. He’s smarter and more insightful than all of his detractors combined.

Glenn Beck laughs at all those who question the birth of Obama on a regular basis. He will never fight the “birther” issue. I wish he would, but he won’t.
