Hey guys,

I’m thinking Fox News may have misrepresented this. They have an 18-second video clip and Amy doesn’t say the things she does as the article says.

I certainly hope they misrepresented it.

While I am no longer with the Tea Party Express, despite helping to launch it and working proudly with it for so long, this approach does not reflect my thinking.

I think the tea party movement’s job at this point is to fight to ensure we have a constitutional conservative as the nominee. The LAST thing we should be doing is pre-announcing approval for RINO’s. We cede the fight if we do this.

So let’s find out from Amy if she really said all this and feels this way. I can’t imagine she does - I’d be so disappointed.

And for the rest of us, regardless of what Amy said or feels, let’s stay focused on making sure that the person who takes on Obama is a true-blue, constitutionalist conservative who will take the fight to Obama, not back down, and not sell out their/our principles in this important fight!

To the Washington establishment, all conservatives are the enemy and must be prevented from taking power, and if that means pulling a Scozzafava in a three way race, they will do just that.

We are no longer willing to be herded into the stables by the GOP leadership, and the entire political establishment fears they are finally losing control over us. I don't see this ending well.

The Tea party is purely about economic issues and has certainly social conservatives libertarians and even some socially liberal.

To some here they seem to think that the Tea Party is the new Christian Coalition and it's not. If anything resembling the past it's comparable to the Ross Perot year where he made everything about government debt.

I will NEVER EVER vote for Mitt Romney! I don’t care what anybody says. I’ll vote for a different party if I have to.

Here are a few reasons. His Romney care bill allows women to get abortion with a $50 co-pay. He promised the homosexuals that he’d not oppose same sex marriage in exchange for their support. He thinks global warming is real and is caused by mankind. And to be perfectly honest, I will NEVER vote for a Mormon period. That’s just the way it is.

I will not compromise my values and soul’s peace of mind by voting for that man.

I’m okay with a self-appointed “leader” of the Tea Party making nice with Romney voters to keep their support and votes in preparation for conservatives outvoting the RINO wing and far left crossover voters. The truth though is that the Tea Party is not going to follow a RINO leader - that’s why the Tea Party came into existence instead of just settling for yet another RINO - and a substantial number of conservatives will not vote for Romney (including me - I will waste my vote on a 3rd party candidate or write in Palin/DeMint instead of wasting my vote on Romney and an endorsement of socialism-lite).
