Daily economic briefings disappear from Obama's White House schedule

At some point during the first two years of his administration, President Obama stopped receiving the daily economic briefing that he requested when he took office.

Former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs announced at this own first daily briefing reporters that Obama asked for the daily economic briefing, described then as comparable to the daily intelligence briefing the president gets every morning.

“The president asked that this be added every day to his schedule,” Gibbs said at the time. Gibbs added that Obama believed it is “important that each day he receive the most up to date information as it relates to the economy.”

All of which means the economy is going in the direction that TOTUS, the CAP, the Democrat/’Progressives’ and 0bama want it to go.

Sucka.

That information probably makes his head hurt anyway to read.

This is probably because the "Daily Economic Briefings" were fourty-minute discussions of "how we can blame this on the Bush Administration."

Once it began to become obvious to Obammy that that excuse wasn't working anymore, it was "bye-bye Daily Economic Briefings."

The economy defies effective "management" at the executive branch - or the legislative branch of government.

The less he tries to tinker, the better. The daily thing was all another phony show anyway...

He does keep crowing about “his” economic recovery.

Daily briefings were just too painful; he couldn’t achieve his dreams; if he let reality get in the way.

Did you read the comments following the article? Like I keep asking, where are they getting his high poll numbers?

“....where are they getting his high poll numbers?”

Seems to me we are in the midst of a defeatism campaign by the Left, and their minions, sycophants in the press.

It appears they are throwing considerable treasure, and time at trying to convince the public the Republicans haven’t a clue, are too disarrayed to be effective, or have too much baggage to qualify to be POTUS.

I believed they were polling many Democrats for their higher numbers, but then the Rasmussen Poll blows that theory all to heck. The Rasmussen Poll says to me their tactic is working.

Time to roll up the sleeves, and get to work.

This might be an inspiration for your talent — something like Obama as an ostrich, while the economy is crashing around him? Or whichever way you want to capture it, you have been really great at capturing the essence. :)

The day he stopped those briefings was the day he admitted to himself he would be a one-term president, like Jimmah Carter.

"That information probably makes his head hurt anyway to read."

We already know he doesn't do math very well (57 states, 10,000 dead in Greenburg, Kansas, millions of "jobs saved"). I have a theory that he doesn't want his grades released because his math was weak and his economics education non-existent. Call me a Math-er conspiricist
