Last night, on "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart was forced to tackle an issue he hates to joke about: His friend U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner's (D-N.Y.) tweeting of his own penis.
Stewart and Weiner are old buddies and shared a beach house in Delaware in their younger years. For two days last week, Stewart had awkwardly dealt with the issue, but he finally broke out a proper skewering on Thursday night -- when he used a soul singer to mock Weiner and call him out on his "dodgy bulls---." Stewart even said Weiner would have to resign if found to have actually tweeted a picture of his penis.
Given that, I expected Stewart to dig into Weiner with the same comedic ferocity last night, now that Weiner had finally admitted the truth
Instead, Stewart used the occasion to compliment Weiner's penis and pectoral size. He then ducked any further criticism of Weiner and transitioned to making fun of former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
The most upsetting things to Stewart were that Weiner is "packing jumbo heat" and "ripped," he said.
"I can't believe this guy and I are the same f----- age," Stewart joked. Stewart somehow managed to turn Weiner's actions and subsequent lying into a compliment. Strange.
Stewart did some better work later in the show, with his bit about Sarah Palin's awkward explanation of Paul Revere's so-called "midnight ride."
Stewart said Palin's insistence that she didn't "mess up" by turning the history of Paul Revere's ride into a "folksy word salad" drives people "bonkers."
So Palin got a proper skewering, but Weiner didn't? A very uneven episode for Stewart.

What a shock - he goes easy on his comrade, Oscar Liar Weiner.
The radical, twisted, sick left just keeps on proving what and who they are. Day after day. Go Sarah! The liberal DemoRats make a septic tank smell good. And of course Pelosi is protecting one of her own kind, by calling for “an ethics investigation”. Yes, the same woman who said the GOP was the “culture of corruption” and was going to clean up the Congress.....hypocrisy, lies, deceit, crime, perversion, and the list just goes on.
I think not.
Having been Wiener’s roomie at one point, Stewart is, no doubt, aware that Wiener has no backbone......
else, how could Wiener accomplish what rumor implies he was able to do in the photo Breitbart has possession of?

No need. Rehobeth, Delaware has a good stretch of beach reserved for the same folk that go to Fire Island. Kind of weird to see a beach full of guys, no girls in bikinis.
