It’s not just the potential “racist” charge, fear of supposed riots, etc.

It’s because most of the Repubs are merely elitist insider professional politician DC bloodsuckers who are very little different from the Dems, and they want to continue riding the gravy train without messy disturbances.

Puts the FBI on the spot for a few minutes. And no one in congress will touch it with a ten foot pole.

The president is above the law

We should remember that we have Gerald Ford to thank for that.

Because it is impossible to post a physical piece of paper on the internet. Duh.

The propensity of birthers to ask asinine questions never ceases to amaze me.

How would that be possible if the Obama administration received a hard copy?

It's called US mail. If you want it faster, there's something else called courier service. I believe he used the latter.

He did receive a hard copy, BTW, (I believe it was two, actualy), and they were shown to reporters. Someone at the Whitehouse then scanned one of these hard copies to create a pdf in order to post it online.

For some reason, the fact that it's impossible to post a physical document on the internet seems lost on most birthers.

So one copy is dramatically different in formatting, and includes a separate modified string. I have to speculate, as I'm being kinda lazy here and not actually testing, that Doug used the 'save as' feature on whatever PDF viewer he had and this created the modified timestamp.

LOL! Good work! The stupidty of these so-called "experts" like Vogt never ceases to amaze me.

There is absolutely no question that the document originally released to Obama's attorneys in HI was a
(1)copy of a
(2)digitally created abstract, created by the HIDOH. HIDOH said so. The WH said so.
(3)Then the WH copied that for release
(4)They merely allowed everyone to assume that what they released was a
(4) certified copy of an original document.

There is nothing wrong with an abstract, if everyone in, e.g. a real estate transaction, agrees to it. The problem is, one never knows if everything one might want to know was abstracted, or whether it is accurate. A certified copy and an Abstract may serve the same purpose if everyone agrees, but, they are hardly the same thing legally. If there's a question, believe me a good attorney wants a certified copy, not the abstract. Repeat: abstracts and certified copies are two different things.

Of course digitally creating documents, and then scanning them to make copies will create layers. That's not the question, IMHBOWO. The question is, "Why the Hell would anyone bother doing all of this in this day and age?" There's a document in Hawaii you want to see? OK. Fine. You pay the fee. The clerk makes a certified copy (properly notarized, signed by the right people, etc.) and Fedexes the damn thing to where you need it to go: a closing, a press conference, etc. It is done literally thousands of times a day (or was when the economy was good).

Again the question:"Why the Hell would anyone bother NOT doing this in such a clean, efficient, and legal way in this day and age?" There is no good, clean answer.

Hawaii didn’t have the original one any more for the Halfrican, it having gone to the big document shredder in the sky like his college records. So it synthesized a new one, using artwork from old ones for other people. Cheesy as hell, but why didn’t Hawaii just fess up to having to re-create it? And provide photocopies of the source material it had in order to do that?

I'm envisioning a BO BC made out of tiny bits of magazines and newspapers, little letters pasted together to form a ransom note. Only this time, it's America that's being held hostage.

The fact that Obozo first said they sent an attorney to HI to pick up 2 copies of the document and later changed that to state they e-mailed it to them, is another case of catching them in a lie.

Oh, really? So, he's changed his story to it arriving by e-mail. That's interesting. A bit hard to confuse buying a ticket for your high priced attorney and an email to some lowly staff person. Lies, lies, and more lies.

It’s the gravy train, all right. Heaven forbid if they had to go out and get a real job.

Because he doesn’t have a real one.
