When you're head over heels in debt and your credit cards are maxed out and your credit rating is falling, you don't borrow more money. If you do, your chances of defaulting or going bankrupt are greater and your credit worthiness decreases.
Don't raise the limit. Don't borrow. Cut the spending, stupid!
You want to spur jobs and growth? Easy. Cut the spending, cut the government, cut the regulations, cut the red tape, cut the bureaucracy, lower the taxes and get the hell out of the way! Our people will produce if allowed.
And what's this crap about bankrupting the coal and gas industries? Are you a natural born idiot or do you have to work at it every damned day?
I think that’s a great idea. There’s a big government boondoggle program you can totally eliminate without affecting anyone in a negative manner. It’d be a total positive gain all around.
Absolutely. Then we can follow up by abolishing depts of education, HUD, and the Natl endowment for the arts. We can adopt the flat or fair tax and abolish the IRS. And I’m just getting started. Anyone want to join the party? Let’s come up with a list of useless depts that can be banned, saving trillions.

I’ll start here. If it’s not on this list of enumerated powers (referring to original intent), it’s unconstitutional and must be abolished:

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;
To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;
To provide and maintain a Navy;
To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;
To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;
To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;—And
To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Jim, please don't take this the wrong way. What makes you think they want us to produce? What makes you think they want us prosperous and taking care of ourselves? Have you seen a single shred of evidence for that?
No, Jim. The last thing Obama and his crowd wants is a strong, well fed, gainfully employed, taking care of itself America. Obama and those he's surrounded himself with have proved that in both word and deed.
They want power over us and there's no way to rule a country that isn't on its knees. So, that's what they're trying to do. What they're doing isn't being done out of stupidity.
It's being done out of malice.

Jim, you are assuming that all of the economic woes currently affecting America are based in incompetence, and surely Obama and his administration must want to listen to reason.
The reality is that the destruction we are witnessing is part of a greater sinister plan to bring about a fall of the republic.
Jim, I rarely disagree with you, but your question to Obama implies that he does, in fact, want to create jobs and promote growth in the US.
Try as I might, I just cannot believe he really wants that.
Fulfillment of the Cloward Piven strategy seems much more likely to be one of his primary aims. Certainly his actions, as well as more than a few of his words, support this conclusion...
Now if only that were in the news cycle...
