A California man who initially claimed to a local television station that he was roughed up by "SWAT team" members who allegedly battered down his front door to execute a search warrant related to his estranged wife's unpaid student loans was targeted due to an ongoing probe into alleged financial aid fraud.

Local law enforcement officials have thus far not commented on the Stockton man's claim to ABC News 10/KXTV that he was grabbed by the neck and placed in handcuffs in back of a patrol car for six hours as his three children looked on during execution of the search warrant on Tuesday.

You didn’t see nothing, other than your ignorance. You weren’t there.

The problem is, you want to see things that aren’t there to justify your myopic worldview.

You guys were had. Admit it.

I think you’re the one being had by the sleazy innuendo and slurs being whispered about this guy by the government thugs.

The FIRST thing the cops do when they screw up is character assassination. If this guy doesn't shut up quick, every parking ticket he ever got will be publicized by the cops to try to show he was a “scofflaw.” If any relatives have been arrested, he'll be a member of a “crime family.”

So, you jumped on this pretty quickly - which police union do you belong to?

What us the difference between a “SWAT team” and something that looks and acts like a SWAT team?

Lots of pro-police-state statists here on FR these days. Useful idiots.

However much force is necessary to execute the warrant.

SWAT teams have a reputation for gross misuse of force

Against the innocent, and against real threats a reputation for cowardice -- remember Columbine High School and the beloved hero teacher who bleed to death while those SWAT-ippities were afraid to enter.

Still not sure SWAT is an appropriate vehicle for serving a warrant for a fraud case, either.

I know that I and others were indeed looking for alternate accounts of the story.

“2. The ‘murdered’ ‘Marine’ case in Arizona has also been shown to be an ignorant fraud, as the warrant was released showing rock solid PC of extensive criminal activity.”

Liar.

It has been shown he was stopped in a car with friends, and there was a gun and a small amount of marijuana in the car. No charges were pressed.

It has also been shown he was asked questions once before by cops, and did not give detailed answers. No arrest was made. And the warrant was for a residence, not a person. That was why they couldn’t stop him leaving the mine where he worked, since they couldn’t get a warrant with his name on it. And this after they supposedly investigated him for over 1.5 years!

Hell, if you paid me to investigate my neighbor for 1.5 years, I’ll bet I could come up with a criminal case of some sort!

Further, the search of his house turned up two guns (I own more) and a “Border Patrol” cap, available for purchase on the local market. Wow! How much more criminal can you get than that?

Oh, that's rich.

Admit it, you haven't got anything. If you had facts, you bang on the facts. If you had the law, you'd bang on the law.

Having neither, you bang on the table.

A SWAT team by any other name...will still employ SWAT-like tactics.

Who cares? Do you think that an armed force of over 15 “officers” is required for a non-violent offense? Who cares if it was a SWAT team, the A-Team or a SEAL team. The response of overwhelming force does not appear justified in this instance.

Got any comment on the cop killing his K9?

Now you are retreating to the common tactic of the libertine: random internet insults. I am surprised that you jumped on “police union” first, considering that the majority of law enforcement in this country are non-unionized (in fact, collective bargaining for LEOs is ILLEGAL in many States.) Usually, the ignorant retreat to “JBT” first.

Like petulant children, the libertine quickly reveals their lack of intelligence and common sense.

The guy lied, you and the media bought the lie, now the media is trying to scrub the original story and retracting as much as they can, you on the other hand are so angry that you got caught, that you do the opposite, and dig in your heels in an attempt to justify your insanity.

How does it feel to be lower than the media?

If she has a valid warrant and a badge, a little old lady with a walker could serve a warrant against me.

“The overwhelming majority of arrest warrants are served with one or two officers knocking on a door and making a routine arrest.”

OK...so what was different this time? What made a warrant for college admissions records so scary?

How do you know he is a criminal? At least he was treated better than that police dog, he did not die in the car through criminal neglect
