Herman Cain On “The Factor”
US Election News ^ | 6/10/11 | Jillian Curtin

O’Reilly seemed to rush through the interview, and in his characteristic style, didn’t give Cain much time to elaborate on his answers, but the former businessman and radio host seemed to hold his own, spitting out answers when possible, and attempting at least twice to push back against O’Reilly’s interview demeanor, refusing to be bullied, though at times he seemed to be having trouble keeping up with O’Reilly’s fast paced manner.

O’Reilly began with a direct question, asking Cain if there was “one overriding reason” for him to be President? Cain replied, ” It’s time to have a problem solver that knows how to apply business skills to solving the problems in this country in the White House.” He lit into President Obama’s leadership and policy tactics while in his first term in office, saying “Obama has put the wrong gas in the tank of our economy.”

I think Herman did well and held his own against the Great Bloviator himself.

O’Reilly is one of the worst interviewers ever, IMHO. He rather hear himself talk. And he never follows up to answers.

The O’Reiley rapid fire format does not help viewers to learn a lot about a person’s policies and the stances that he takes.

I’d rather have Brit Hume interview Cain.

Beck gave Cain the better part of an hour for a free flow conversation. I like that style because it gives the interviewee a chance to refine their answers and explain them in depth.

BTW Cain is going to Israel with Glenn in September.

Cain had no answer for both the zero capital gains tax question nor for how to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

BOR may have been a boor, but he allowed Cain a graceful out from his nuclear Iran non-answer.

Whatever happened to the charges of sexual assault/harassment that I seem to remember against O’Reilly? It was back in 2004-2005 I think.

O’Reilly is insane. I did watch because of Herman Cain and right from the start O’Reilly knows nothing about the economy. He could not get it through his sick closed mind that revenue will increase as jobs increase even if taxes are reduced. This man is beyond being to think.

“In October of 2004, Bill O’Reilly, right-wing conservative talk show host on Fox News, was sued for sexual harassment by his producer, Andrea Mackris. On many occasions she was phone sex raped by O’Reilly.

Even though Mackris protested, O’Reilly wouldn’t shut up. The schadenfreude train doesn’t pull into the station until the news surfaced that Mackris recorded everything. A quick internet search will easily reveal a verbatim text of O’Reilly’s sexual predilections, including the time he brought himself to orgasm with a vibrator while talking to her.

O’Reilly settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed sum. Duuh.’

O’Reilly was disgraceful in that interview, not letting Cain finish his answer about how the gov’t would get the necessary revenue if we lowered taxes. Cain started to answer by saying that lowering taxes and regs encourges people to start their own businesses and employers to hire more people. More taxpayers, more revenue stream. But BOR didn’t get it, and interjected ....”yeah, but where’s the govt’s cut??” Cain looked at him as if he were a complete moron (which of course he is), and when he tried to finish, BOR interrupted and said “....ok, we have to move on here.”

The first question was so dumb, that I think it rather stunned Cain. The answer, by the way, is that capital gains tax cuts do not affect Soc. Sec. and Medicare, because those programs are supported by their own fees (taxes), not by capital gains taxes. There was no time given when Cain tried to answer this.

As for what we do about Iraqs nuclear program, that was a trap. The answer is, someone will have to stop the Iraqis, but that would be trumped as making Cain look like a warmonger. Obviously, sanctions don’t work. An nuclear bombing raid would work, or a declaration of war and a full invasion.

Cain showed restraint, and a friendly personality. I think that there is much more to him than shows up in a short interview.

Another answer would be: it is already too late, and we will be paying in blood for this neglect sooner or later.

There is no answer by anybody. ANYBODY ANYBODY To answer this question would be war. Want war? Do you not realize? O'Reilly is a communists social liberal and most of us knows it.

Memo to all guests appearing on the Baxter Factor:

DO NOT interrupt Mr. Baxter.

If you do interrupt Mr. Baxter, you will not appear again. (see: Palin, Sarah)

Keep your personal opinions to yourself and let Mr. Baxter lead the discussion. He will firmly direct you to say what he wants to hear.

Correct! Get a young, pretty blonde female, kidnapped, raped, murdered or make her disappear and they will talk about it for months. Murdoch is Tabloid. Look at what he has done to the world's newspapers. He trashes slowly - frog in boiling water - but he trashes right down to Tabloid Rubbish. Sorry and goodbye Fox.

BOR's question about Iran getting nuclear weapons and how Cain would deal with it was moronic. IIRC, he cited a report that they'd have the bomb next year (2012), yet a President Herman Cain wouldn't take office until January 2013!
