President and Mrs. Obama hosted a decidedly more subtle state dinner for German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the White House Tuesday evening.
Though Mr. Obama presented Merkel with his highest honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the dinner otherwise lacked the glitz and glamour of the Obama administration-- with one noticeable exception.
First Lady Michelle Obama wore a shimmery ivory sleeveless gown by Naeem Khan, a designer she favors and also donned at the president's first state dinner in 2009.
Naeem Khan gowns retail from $5,000-$15,000.
Khan told the Wall Street Journal the first dress he made for Mrs. Obama was "priceless."
Known for her fashion, Mrs. Obama accessorized Tuesday with gold bangles by Alexis Bittar, which range in cost from $145-$695 per bracelet.

I suppose they were donated to her, and that this guy also donates to “combat hunger” agencies and the like. I’m happy for Michelle when she gets to walk around in this garb, because that’s likely the only happiness this chronically cross woman will see, and it’s her own fault.
How they get away with this is just unreal for me

What always amazed me is that slavery was far more commonplace in the dark, primal continent of Africa than anywhere else on earth. Rampant African slavery of one another, in fact, was the primary reason why the Europeans could so easily sail there and purchase Africans from other Africans. Once you get to understand the whole story, the big picture, you discover that Africans were actually more complicit in their own slavery than were Europeans and Americans. In point of fact, it was the Europeans and Americans who put an end to slavery in a relatively short period of history, while Africans to this very day still capture, enslave and sell one another for PROFIT.
While we discuss dresses, the Obama Admin has the most abysmal counter-intelligence failure - possibly on purpose - against Islamic Iran.
