I'd go one step further:

Hoaxes are usually harmless pranks; this certainly isn't.

It’s becoming apparent to a lot of people, even some on the left that global warming has little to do with the environment. It is about economical control, punishment of the successful and redistribution of wealth. People are starting to notice that none of the global warming disasters have actually occurred. The sea level didn’t rise and sink island, in fact more the 600 new islands were just recently discovered. Snow in England would would become a distant memory, except for the record snow storms. You name the prediction and it will not have happened. To cover the GW scientists invent scenarios where warming can cause cooling. It can cause drought and floods in the same location. It can increase or decrease storms severity and frequency. In other words, them have become 3 year olds making up the rules of a game so they can be the winner no matter what the other guy does.

If we were really as close to doom as the hysterics attempt to convince our children, everyone would be asked to sacrifice. Instead, it seems that the “remedy” being proposed is really nothing more than your usual Leftist efforts to redistribute wealth along the lines of an affirmative action program. Successful nations will be shackled, failed nations will be rewarded and, well, think global socialism and suddenly the Kyoto Protocols make sense.

There you have it friends.

Global Warming is an effort to institute world government under the United Nations. The Kyoto Protocols would set up the redistribution of wealth and industrialization by permitting underdeveloped nations to emit the CO2 necessary for industrial out put and restricting industrial growth and out put in developed nations.

The UN will become the defacto world government by instituting carbon tax that will redistribute industrialization around the world. Unfortunately even if instituted the plan can not succeed because the poverty stricken countries of the world are not imbedded in poverty because of the lack of industrialization, they lack industrialization because of their governments most of which are socialist dictators.

Why should anyone need to be a "skeptic" about a humongous scam that is already proven to have been based totally on fabricated data?

That's like being a "skeptic" about Bernie Madoff's investment plan.

It's like being a "skeptic" about Hitler's Jewish resorts (this is a much closer analogy to the Global Warming scam than most folks are willing to even consider).

FYI - 76 degrees in Sacramento California. We have not turned our AC on yet this year. Not even close.

I became a skeptic of “big green” when they started using scare tactics on children and the ignorant about twenty years ago.

They still sell space blankets (metallicsized plastic) because they work (the reflected heat can save your life0. The difference with CO2 is that it absorbs heat, then reemits 1/2 back and 1/2 out to space. So CO2 is not as effective, but basically the same principle.

Back in the 70’s they claimed the blankets would absorb radiation and keep you warm. They didn’t specify where the radiation was coming from. In their newer pitch, where or what is the source of “heat” that’s bring reflected?
