Mitt Romney Wins Over Media by Opposing Rush on Climate Change
Rush ^ | June 10th | Rush

Posted on 06/11/2011 6:20:20 AM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

RUSH: Right. So the media was listening intently as I played the sound bite this week, Monday or Tuesday, and said, "Bye bye, nomination." Remember that? I said, "Bye bye, nomination." Well, the media has glommed on to that. They are thrilled. Listen.

BASHIR: If Romney stands by his view that the world is getting warmer and that man is an important contributor, then how will he fare when so many Republicans believe that global warming is, in the words of Rush Limbaugh, a "complete hoax"?

UYGUR: You've got 99.9% of the scientists in the world in one camp and Rush in the other camp. The Republican primary (snickering) is probably Limbaugh wins against all science and facts.

O'DONNELL: Rush Limbaugh saying, "Bye bye, nomination."

ZIMMERMAN: Thanks to Rush Limbaugh, all of these Republican candidates are terrified of reaching out to mainstream voters.

MATTHEWS: Rush Limbaugh declared him bye bye ville. Nomination over! Manmade global warming is a hoax! It's all Rush Limbaugh.

RUSH: It's amazing how utterly uncurious these people are.

Romney is more of the same. The
“same” being reach-across-the-aisle-RINO, kiss up to the LIBs by being LIB-Light, country-club Repub, spineless in all that matters and a closet LIB. You want the “same”?

As if the Media needs to be won over to Mittens. He's their man!

Good thing he won somebody over because he probably lost hundreds of thousands of votes with his "I'm pro-Gorebull Warning" nonsense.

He is betting the un motivated middle against the one step away from insurrection motivated conservatives.

once the polls aren’t run by the leftist media and old guard - he is gonna get his butt kicked.

Similar to many of his comments and statements - he is 10 years behind the times. 10 years ago - his strategy would have worked. Now - it just demionstrates how out of touch he is.

Doubly difficult when a jellyfish like Mitt has enough to buy an election.
Honest I’m looking for a CONSERVATIVE candidate with a chance.

The country can survive with alternating 8 year rule between conservatives and RINO's. We cannot survuve with alternating 8 year rule between Marxists and RINO's.

Incredibly on the mark.

I'd be so bold, though I work mostly from my finger to the wind here, as to suggest that your above scenario has us now needing to go from Marxists to Conservatives. Thus many more tea Party types might have tolerated a Romney four or eight years ago but my sense his there'll be no holding noses to vote for a RINO this time.

Just a hunch. Hoping the pubs pay attention cause if they stick it out and nominate a RINO this time I see a real possibility of a third party arising.

But if he's claiming 99% of all scientists then he is just a liar and/or ignoramus.

And/or? You mean with liberals you can differentiate?

You think Texas’s Perry will jump in?
If so,
What are your thoughts on him?
Thanks.

Hard to know about Rick for President. I think he will make himself “available” and might take more a wait and see attitude. I think it speaks highly of him to recognize an opportunity and be willing to see where it goes. Really don’t think this is something he’s been longing for.

As my opinion, Perry has for the most part proven to be pretty conservative. He has had some wrong moves, like Trans Texas Corridor and Guardisil, both positions he moved away from when we Texans told him he was wrong. If you look at how Texas has done while Perry has been Governor, we’ve done better than OK and a hell of a lot better than every Blue State and most Red States.

But you have to understand, A. Texas Governors are not very powerful compared to the Legislature, B. we have more than a few differences within Texas and C. Texas has a very independent streak espacially internally. Thus a Governor being able to work within those parameters requires quite the dancer and Perry has done better than most. His traits may be more useful like a Dick Cheney on the national stage. One thing I find above average is that Perry will stand up to nobama and tell him Don’t Mess With Texas!

Those you hear from on FR that HATE PERRY can sometimes be followed back to ronpaul camp, maybe because of Deb Medina’s hard fall.

99.9% of scientists can’t agree on the color of s@#$. Where do these people get their notion of an unanimous consensus? Are they ignorant of scientific opinion, or hoping that hoi polloi are.

Not a bad way to start; but whether we like it or not, we need lawyers. So, I recommend that (before killing all current lawyers) we train new lawyers -- a new KIND of lawyer.

Our enemies are not in Congress or the WH. Our enemies are in two places: 1) The Leftist State Media, and 2) Education.

The indocrtination (brainwashing) has now spread through highschool, down to elementary school, and now even kindergarden. But it started in Journalism schools, spread to all of "higher" education, and - from there - rapidly spread to Law Schools. The Constitution is a near irrelevancy in modern legal education. As is the true Rule of Law. All that matters is Judicial Tyranny.

We must put a stop to this ASAP. (if you know how, let me know)

And the MSM know what about science?

My theory:

Journalists are those who either flunked out of sciences or engineering, or never entered because they were afraid of physics and math.
