I always wonder what these guys are thinking. Assuming they defeat the Guard, an unlikely eventuality, do they think the government will just roll over and surrender? They prepared to take on tanks and helicopter gunships? Not to mention Seal Team Six.

Most of the time you hear of grand plans like this its from some informant. Typically as part of some drunken rambling and not as a coherent plan.

Not necessarily. If he’s smart, he knows how to hide from IR and FLIR.
It can be hard to find people who want to be found ie lost hunters hikers ect.
If this guy is well armed and in the mind set to shoot people there well be a fair number of dead officers
My guess he is more talk then action othr wise we would be hearing of dead officers all ready.
In a search like this it is a target rich environment for the hunted.
